Giphy，一般写成GIPHY，是美国的一个GIF搜索引擎，用户可以在这里通过输入文字来搜寻对应的GIF。

历史

Giphy由Alex Chung和Jace Cooke于2013年2月创立。[3][4][5]Giphy在创建后第一周便吸引了约100万用户。[6]截至2016年10月，Giphy每天有1亿活跃用户，每天产生超过10亿个GIF，每天有200万小时的GIF内容被观看。[7][8]

2020年5月，美国社交媒体公司Facebook公司（现为Meta公司）宣布以4亿美元收购GIPHY。[9]2021年8月12日，英国竞争及市场管理局（英语：Competition and Markets Authority）发表报告指这笔收购可能拒绝其他社交平台使用Giphy，并增加Facebook的市场影响力。[10]9月8日，英国当局要求Facebook出售其持有的Giphy股份。Facebook质疑当局并没有权力作出这项要求，并指Giphy与其他社交平台，如Twitter、Snapchat、TikTok的整合并没有因收购案而改变。[11]
