"The Jabul Waters Rift" is a Main Quest in Echoes of Wisdom.[1]
Overview
At the beginning of the Main Quest "Searching for Everyone", Tri identifies the locations of two large Rifts and marks them on Princess Zelda"s Map.[2] Minister Lefte identifies that one these Rifts can be found in Jabul Waters.[3] If Zelda asks Lefte about Jabul Waters, she explains that a majority of its residents are the Zora, who are divided into the Sea Zora and River Zora.[4] When Zelda and Tri enter Jabul Waters for the first time, Tri suggests searching around the large Rift for a place where they can enter the Still World.[5] Following this, "The Jabul Waters Rift" will begin.
At the edge of Seesyde Village, Zelda can encounter two Hylians speaking to each other about Lord Jabu-Jabu.[6] If Zelda asks them about Lord Jabu-Jabu, they explain that he is a Spirit who resides in Jabul Waters that has gone on a rampage ever since a Rift appeared on his Den.[7] If Zelda inquires about his Den, the Hylians state that she can reach it by crossing a bridge to the east.[8] From their description, Tri realizes that his Den is close to the oversized Rift they found.[9] When Zelda and Tri reach the Rift, Tri urges Zelda to investigate further.[10] Inside of Lord Jabu-Jabu"s Den, Tri passes through a door. They return soon after and confirms that they are able to create an entrance to the Rift in the next room.[11]
At that moment, Hemi and another River Zora enter Lord Jabu-Jabu"s Den. Hemi comments on the nearby Rift, after which he notices Zelda nearby.[12] The pair believe that Zelda came because she is worried about Lord Jabu-Jabu, and they reveal that they rushed here after he began his rampage.[13] After Zelda states that she wants to enter the next room, Hemi tells her that the chiefs of the River Zora and Sea Zora must play together in order to open the door.[14] If Zelda asks them about the two clans, they explain that the River Zora reside up Zora River and the Sea Zora live in Zora Cove.[15][16] Hemi then advises Zelda that she will have to personally ask the Zora chiefs, Dradd and Kushara, to play music at the Den.[17] After this conversation, Tri expresses anxiety over this task, claiming they are in a hurry.[18]
Zelda can find the chief of the River Zora, Dradd, in his House, which is located in the northwestern corner of the River Zora Village. His assistant, Inawa, informs him that the River Zora are afraid, and Dradd assures her that he has a plan.[19] His first goal is to calm down Lord Jabu-Jabu, and when Inawa asks him how he will do so, he claims that he will play River Zora music for him.[20] He quietly adds that this will prove he is a better musician than Kushara.[21] Inawa questions why he is still arguing with Kushara, but Dradd insists he will never forgive her for insulting his music.[22] He then decides to leave, running into Zelda on his way out.[23] He tells Zelda that she will have to wait for him to return.[24] Inawa stays behind, where she apologizes to Zelda and explains that Dradd"s latest fight with Kushara has caused their relationship to become strained.[25] Dradd then calls for Inawa to accompany him to Crossflows Plaza, and she leaves as well.[26]
The personal quarters of the Sea Zora chief, Kushara, are located on the northern end of the Sea Zora Village. When Zelda enters, her assistant, Rogma, will be briefing her on the situation, and Kushara declares that she has a plan.[27] After Rogma asks what it is, Kushara claims that she will calm Lord Jabu-Jabu using the music of the Sea Zora.[28] She then adds that Dradd will be forced to clap for her performance, and Rogma realizes that they are still arguing with each other.[29] Kushara declares that she will never interact with Dradd again due to him insulting her music, and she wishes he would acknowledge that she is more talented than him.[30] Kushara then states that she and Rogma have to leave immediately.[31] While leaving, Kushara notices Zelda and says that she will have to wait to speak with her.[32] Rogma briefly stays behind, apologizing to Zelda and lamenting how long this fight has lasted.[33] Kushara calls for Rogma to head to Crossflows Plaza with her, and he departs as well.[34]
After their first meeting with a Zora chief, Tri expresses their confusion about the word "squabble" by the Zora, and they are annoyed that the chief did not hear them out.[35] Following their second meeting, Tri notes that both chiefs went to Crossflows Plaza, and they state that they should follow them there.[36]
As Zelda and Tri approach Crossflows Plaza, they find Dradd and Kushara arguing over which one of them will soothe Lord Jabu-Jabu.[37][38] Both Inawa and Rogma are distressed by their chiefs fighting once again.[39] The two Zora chiefs begin insulting each other"s music, which enrages them further.[40] Kushara suggests that they perform together to prove definitively which one is the better musician, and Dradd agrees.[41] Rogma tries to dissuade Kushara from playing while they are both so angry, but Inawa reminds him that they will not listen.[42] Dradd pulls out his Horn, and Kushara pulls out her Harp. Following their performance, Rogma is left unimpressed, and Inawa claims it is because they did not play in time with each other.[43]
Suddenly, the ground rumbles, and Lord Jabu-Jabu jumps down into the Water nearby.[44] Dradd and Kushara begin arguing over whose music he was drawn to, but they are stopped when Lord Jabu-Jabu roars at them.[45][46] Jabu-Jabu begins to inhale, but Inawa and Rogma push their chiefs out of the way.[47] As a result, the two are swallowed by Lord Jabu-Jabu, who then Swims away. Both Kushara and Dradd are shocked at first, but Kushara then declares that she will follow Jabu-Jabu in order to rescue Rogma.[48] After she enters the Water, Dradd accuses her of getting a head start.[49] Kushara attempts to scold Dradd for this, but after he rushes up Zora River, she calls him a cheater and Swims after him.[50]
Once the pair leave, Tri complains that they have still not been able to ask Dradd and Kushara about opening the door in Lord Jabu-Jabu"s Den.[51] A nearby River Zora appears frightened by the situation, and a Sea Zora theorizes that Jabu-Jabu could be heading to the River Zora Village.[52] This causes the River Zora to become even more concerned.[53]
At the River Zora Village, Zelda and Tri hear a roar and shouts from Dradd and another River Zora, which starts the Main Quest "Chaos at River Zora Village".[54][55] At Upper Zora River, they find Kushara and a River Zora child standing near a Rift. They explain that the child"s father fell into the Rift after being attacked by Lord Jabu-Jabu, and Dradd fell in while protecting the child.[56] Zelda and Tri then mend the Rift, rescuing Dradd and the River Zora man. However, the man is still fearful after his experience in the Still World, so Kushara plays her Harp to calm him down.[57] He is calmed as a result of her Sea Zora music, and Dradd compliments her performance.[58] At that moment, a Sea Zora arrives to inform Kushara that Lord Jabu-Jabu has continued his rampage within Zora Cove, and the two of them leave together.[59] Dradd momentarily stays behind to thank Zelda and then Swims after Kushara.[60][61]
In eastern Zora Cove, Zelda and Tri hear Dradd grunting nearby, which starts the Main Quest "Rampage in Zora Cove".[62][63] They find Dradd struggling to clear debris from in front of a Cave on the Small Island in the East, and a Sea Zora woman is standing nearby.[64] Dradd and the woman explain that Kushara rushed in to protect the woman"s son from Lord Jabu-Jabu, but the two of them ended up trapped inside.[65] After Swimming through the Cave"s second entrance, Zelda can reach the chamber where Kushara and the Sea Zora child are located.[66] By using Bind on the large Boulder blocking the entrance, Zelda can clear the way, which allows Dradd and the child"s mother to enter the Cave.[67] Despite his mother"s presence, the child is still too afraid to leave, so Dradd plays his Horn to lift his spirits.[68][69] Kushara then commends his performance.[70]
Kushara comments how how his River Zora music was able to help a Sea Zora, and Dradd reminds him that her Sea Zora music calmed down a River Zora.[71] Dradd notes how they do not usually compliment each other, and when Kushara suggests they put their differences aside and work together more often, Dradd claims he was about to say the same thing.[72] As a result, the two of them agree to help each other more often.[73] Zelda is finally able to ask the chiefs about performing together at Lord Jabu-Jabu"s Den, but Kushara tells her that they need to focus of Jabu-Jabu first.[74] Dradd then reveals that he saw Jabu-Jabu heading north, and he believes he was tired out and returned to his Den.[75] Kushara agrees that this is likely, and she requests that Zelda meet her and Dradd there.[76]
When Zelda arrives at Lord Jabu-Jabu"s Den, she finds it has been partially destroyed by Jabu-Jabu upon his return.[77] Inside, Dradd greets Zelda, but they are interrupted by a roar by Jabu-Jabu from behind the door.[78][79] Dradd and Kushara explain that the altars they are to perform on have been damaged by Jabu-Jabu"s outburst, resulting in one being shattered and the other being covered in rubble.[80] Kushara states that they should focus on clearing the rubble first.[81] With Bind, Zelda can move the pieces of rubble out of the way and replace the missing altar pieces. After both altars have been restored, Dradd and Kushara will be able to perform.[82]
Dradd and Kushara play while standing atop the altars, which causes the stone carvings behind them to light up. At the end of their performance, the door opens. Tri comments on how different their music sounded from their performance at Crossflows Plaza, and they wonder why.[83] Dradd and Kushara both realize how fun it is to play in time with each other and exchange compliments.[84] Tri is still confused, but they take note of how happy the Zora chiefs seem to be.[85] The two of them then apologize for hurting each other.[86] With the door open, Dradd thanks Zelda for helping them, and Kushara states that they should all go see Lord Jabu-Jabu together.[87]
Within the inner chamber of Lord Jabu-Jabu"s Den, Dradd and Kushara demand that he return Inawa and Rogma.[88] Dradd suggests that he and Kushara perform again for Jabu-Jabu, which Kushara agrees to.[89] However, Jabu-Jabu roars and his eyes turn red. Both Dradd and Kushara are shocked by this, and Kushara claims he has been acting strangely since his rampage began.[90] Based on his appearance, Tri deduces that this is not the real Lord Jabu-Jabu, but it is actually an impostor from the Still World.[91] Dradd responds to Tri"s accusation, which confuses Kushara.[92] Tri recalls that Dradd"s time in the Still World would have allowed him to see them, and Zelda explains this to Kushara.[93][94] Dradd and Kushara decide to fight the impostor alongside Zelda, but when Zelda enters the Water, the impostor summons a Barrier behind her.[95][96][97] Tri informs Zelda that they will be able to create an entrance to the Rift behind the impostor.[98] Afterwards, the fight against the impostor Jabu-Jabu will begin.
The fake Lord Jabu-Jabu disappears after the fight, freeing Inawa and Rogma. Dradd and Kushara reunite with their assistants and apologize for what happened to them.[99] Inawa notices that the chiefs are getting along again, and the pair explain that they helped each other with assistance from Zelda.[100] Both Inawa and Rogma are relieved to hear this.[101] However, Kushara is still concerned about the real Jabu-Jabu and wonders where he is.[102] Tri speculates that he likely fell into the Rift, which Zelda relays for them.[103] Since Zelda is able to mend Rifts, Dradd and Kushara request that she save Lord Jabu-Jabu as well.[104]
Tri is able to create an entrance to the Rift, which allows Zelda to access the Stilled Jabul Waters.[105] As they travel, the two come across Lord Jabu-Jabu, who has been petrified as a result of the Still World. They also encounter a petrified General Wright, and Tri reminds Zelda he will be restored after they mend the Rift.[106] When Zelda begins to explore the Jabul Ruins, she is interrupted by the ground collapsing beneath her feet. She falls into a flooded area, where Vocavor appears for the first time and summons a giant Whirlpool to chase her. In the Dungeon"s Boss Room, Zelda faces Vocavor again and defeats it, resulting in the Tris it had trapped being freed. Tri then rallies their friends to mend the Rift in Jabul Waters, returning Lord Jabu-Jabu to Crossflows Plaza in the process. When Tri returns to the Boss Room, they state that their friends shared some Power with them.[107] They also reveal that this was the largest Rift that the Tris ever mended, and it had grown so large due to them being trapped.[108] With their business in the Still World completed, Tri suggests that they return to Jabul Waters.[109]
When Zelda chooses to leave the Jabul Ruins, Tri will Warp her to the first chamber in Lord Jabu-Jabu"s Den. Dradd, Kushara, and Inawa are speaking to each other nearby, and Inawa celebrates when she sees Zelda.[110] Dradd praises her for mending all of the Rifts, but Kushara is still worried about Lord Jabu-Jabu.[111] Tri says that he would have been restored when the Rift was repaired, and Kushara is relieved after Zelda shares this with her.[112] She states that she and Dradd are similar to each other, which she believes is the reason they argue so frequently.[113] Dradd shares that they have learned that the Zora work best together and not to get too angry when they fight.[114] Inawa comments on how well they usually get along, which embarrasses both Dradd and Kushara.[115]
Kushara thanks Zelda for her help.[116] Suddenly, the ground rumbles, and Rogma arrives to inform the chiefs that Lord Jabu-Jabu is at Crossflows Plaza.[117] Hearing this, Dradd and Kushara invite Zelda to celebrate with them at the Plaza.[118] The River Zora and the Sea Zora perform together in front of Jabu-Jabu, with Dradd playing his Horn and Kushara playing her Harp. Inawa and another River Zora join in the their Drums, and Rogma and another Sea Zora play their Flutes. Lord Jabu-Jabu dances along to their performance. Once they are done playing, the Zora put their instruments away, though they are all frightened when Jabu-Jabu roars. After looking around, they all laugh together.
Once the Zora all leave, Tri comments on how nice it was to see Dradd and Kushara reconcile and listen to their music.[119] Suddenly, General Wright appears, loudly asking where he is.[120] When he sees Zelda, he initially demands she give him directions.[121] Upon realizing how poor his manners were, however, he apologizes and introduces himself.[122] He explains that he woke up in Zora Cove and was drawn to Crossflows Plaza when he heard the Zora performing.[123] Wright begins to ask for directions to Hyrule Castle, but he stops and begins to approach Zelda when he recognizes her.[124] Zelda briefly lowers the hood of her Disguise, revealing her identity. Wright is surprised to see her and asks what has happened during his absense.[125] Zelda explains the situation to Wright, which shocks him.[126] He decides to meet with Minister Lefte at Lueburry"s House, at which point he runs off.[127]
After General Wright departs, Tri will speak to Zelda. If Zelda has not yet completed the Main Quest "A Rift in the Gerudo Desert", Tri states that they should continue searching for the King of Hyrule in the Gerudo Desert Rift.[128] Alternatively, if "A Rift in the Gerudo Desert" has already been done, Tri suggests that they also go to Lueburry"s House.[129] Following this conversation, "The Jabul Waters Rift" will end.
Once "The Jabul Waters Rift" has been completed, the Side Quest "Precious Treasure" will become available.
Objectives
Stage | Description |
---|---|
1 | A large rift has appeared in Jabul Waters. You"ll be able to create an entrance to it somewhere. Try searching around that rift to find the spot. |
2 | Lord Jabu-Jabu has been running wild since the appearance of the large rift that Tri saw. You can find this great spirit"s den somewhere beyond a bridge east of the village. The den may be close to that large rift. |
3 | You found where you can create an entrance into the large rift, but it"s on the other side of a door. The only way to open it is to have the River Zora chief and Sea Zora chief play music there together. |
4 [note 1] |
The den"s door won"t open unless the River Zora and Sea Zora chiefs play there together. Unfortunately, the River Zora chief, Dradd, has rushed off to Crossflows Plaza without hearing your request. |
5 [note 2] |
The den"s door won"t open unless the River Zora and Sea Zora chiefs play there together. Unfortunately, the Sea Zora chief, Kushara, had no time to hear your request and headed to Crossflows Plaza. |
6 | Lord Jabu-Jabu seemed to be upset by the terrible performance and gulped down two of the Zora. The chiefs headed north in pursuit of Lord Jabu-Jabu. |
7 | You took care of the small rift near the River Zora village, saving those who"d been swallowed up, including Dradd. The chiefs then chased after Lord Jabu-Jabu, who surged down to Zora Cove. |
8 | Dradd and Kushara promised to perform together at the den, and Lord Jabu-Jabu has likely returned there as well. Head to the den to meet them all. |
9 | Lord Jabu-Jabu"s rampage has made a ruin of his den. Dradd and Kushara can"t perform until it"s been restored to normal. |
10 | The two chiefs played in unison, and their performance opened the door to the den. Lord Jabu-Jabu is within. Confront him, and demand that he return the two Zora he gulped down. |
11 | The Lord Jabu-Jabu that"s been on a rampage is an impostor that came from the rift. Defeat this fake Lord Jabu-Jabu and save the Zora who were gulped down. |
12 | You defeated the Lord Jabu-Jabu impostor. It"s possible that the real Lord Jabu-Jabu is somewhere in the rift. Dradd and the others hope you can rescue him. |
13 | Tri made an entrance into the large rift in Jabul Waters. Head into it, and save Tri"s friends, along with the real Lord Jabu-Jabu. |
14 | You saved Tri"s friends and took care of the rift in Jabul Waters. You should now go back to your world. |
Complete | Lord Jabu-Jabu returned after you took care of the large rift in Jabul Waters. The Zora chiefs are also getting along again and performed for you to show their thanks. |

The Jabul Waters Rift
— Adventure Log (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I think I found some. There"s no saying where Zelda"s father and the others might be. But I did spot some big rifts we can go explore. I"ve marked them on your map, Zelda.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Princess, the rifts marked by Tri are located in the Gerudo Desert and Jabul Waters. Please let me know if you require further information. All right, Princess. I leave it to you to find the king, General Wright, and Link.
— Minister Lefte (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
[Jabul Waters?] Jabul Waters is northeast of here. It"s home to the Zora, who are remarkable swimmers. The residents are divided into the Sea Zora and River Zora. On the coast, soon after entering Jabul Waters, there is a small Hylian fishing village. I"m sure the villagers there will have interesting morsels to share with you about the local area.
— Minister Lefte (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
We need to find a spot where I can make an entrance into one of the rifts. How about we try to find the giant rift I saw near here...and search there?
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
This is a real mess...
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom)I"ve never heard of Lord Jabu-Jabu acting like this before. He"s out of control!
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
[Lord Jabu-Jabu?] Oh! Hi there. Welcome to Seesyde Village. Lord Jabu-Jabu is a great spirit who lives in Jabul Waters.
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom)He"s usually quite calm. But he"s been on the rampage lately. I think it all started when a rift appeared in his den.
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
[His den?] That"s the cave where Lord Jabu-Jabu rests. You"ll find it across the bridge to the east. Can"t miss it. The entrance has a specific design.
— Hylian (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Zelda... That might be near the giant rift that I spotted in this area.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
That"s the giant rift that I spotted earlier... Let"s investigate!
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I can make the rift entrance back there. Let"s go farther inside, Zelda.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh, yeah. Looks like this place got swallowed up bad by the rift. Hold on... Who"s this?
— Hemi (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I bet you came here because you"re worried about Lord Jabu-Jabu, huh?
— River Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)I know we are! He"s been running wild all over the place since this rift spread in his den. Yeah, we got here fast as we could so see what"s going on with him.
— Hemi (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Huh? You want to get in his den?
— River Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)To open the door, the chiefs of the river clan and the sea clan must play music here together.
— Hemi (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
[River clan?] We"re in the river clan. You know, us being River Zora and all. Our village is north of here. Hey, you should visit us upriver sometime!
— Hemi (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
[Sea clan?] The sea clan are all Sea Zora. As you might"ve guessed, they"re Zora...who live in the sea. Their village is south of here—at an island with a HUGE fish tail sticking straight up.
— River Zora (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
If you want the chiefs to play music here, you"ll have to go to each village and ask "em.
— Hemi (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
But, um...we"re in a hurry...
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Our people are scared, Boss! That huge rift opening... Lord Jabu-Jabu on the rampage...
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom)Fear not! I have a plan! When have I—the great Dradd—ever let you down?
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
First, I"ll get Lord Jabu-Jabu nice and relaxed again!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Good thinking, Boss. But how will you do that?
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom)With music, of course! River music! That"ll stop his rampage! We"re just THAT good!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Then that no-talent Kushara will finally bow down to my superior skills. Heh.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hold on, Boss... Why are you still squabbling with the Sea Zora chief? You two usually make up right away. It"s really dragging on this time.
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom)Squabbling?! This is a BIG deal! She mocked my music! I"ll never make up with her.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Bah! I"m not going to just sit around. I"ve got REAL problems to deal with, Inawa!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Who are you? Huh, doesn"t matter. It"s got to wait.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Did you need our chief for something? Sorry, Dradd is busy. The boss has a lot going on right now. Doesn"t help that he"s having his worst squabble ever with the Sea Zora chief. Their fights are usually small, then just fizzle out. This time, it"s blown up completely. They used to get along so well too... Yeah, this fight"s gotten really bad.
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Inawa! What"s the holdup? We"ve got to get to Crossflows Plaza!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Coming! Sorry, the boss calls! See you!
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
This is a grave situation. First, that rift... Now, Lord Jabu-Jabu going wild...
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom)Lord Jabu-Jabu is the spirit of all Zora, but it falls to us to calm him. This crisis is without equal, and now it"s time that I—Kushara of the Sea Zora—resolve it.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Chief, what inspiring words! Please, tell me how you plan to do it.
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom)Lord Jabu-Jabu loves our sea music. So I need only get him to listen to us perform.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
And then Dradd, that tuneless buffoon, will have to applaud my performance.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)I take it that you haven"t resolved your latest quarrel with the other chief yet.
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
And why would I? This quarrel is one for the ages! I will never speak to him again. He insulted my music. I will not tolerate his presence. It"s as if he lives to provoke me! Oh, we"d be fine if he agreed that I was more talented!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Never mind all that. We have to leave immediately, Rogma.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh, greetings, Hylian. I"m on my way out. Your business will need to wait.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Did you have a request of our chief? I"m sorry to say that, until she"s resolved our problems, she won"t have time to help. If our great crisis wasn"t bad enough, our chief is quarreling with the River Zora chief. They often have their little quarrels but always make up quickly. Not this time. What"s the saying? A squabble a day keeps a friendship in play? Such nonsense. Well, stranger, I shouldn"t burden you with our troubles.
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Rogma, please! We must be off to Crossflows Plaza!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Yes, at once! If you"ll excuse me...
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Squabble? What a strange word. I don"t understand what it means. But I do know that we"ll never reach that rift until the two chiefs hear out our request!
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
They went off to Crossflows Plaza too. Then I guess it"s time we join the two chiefs there as well!
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
How DARE you! You shouldn"t have come here! I"ll take care of Lord Jabu-Jabu myself! GET LOST!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)My thoughts precisely! Off with you!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hey, Kushara! You can stuff your plan!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)We of the Sea Zora will bring calm to Lord Jabu-Jabu! Our music can quiet his rage!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Ridiculous! We"ll do it, not you!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Yikes! They"re at it again!
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom)It was only a matter of time before these two exploded. But not here, not now...
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
The way you play? You"d just enrage him more with your crude honking! So, we"ll play
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Insults! Always insults! Says more about your music than mine! But sure, let"s do this! Your playing is WEAK! It"s PUNY! It won"t have any effect!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)What? Now you"ve done it! There are some things you can"t take back, you know!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
It"s time we settle this—one last performance to see whose playing is superior!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)No problem. On the count of three, we both play. The best player wins.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
What, perform together in this state?! My chief, with all due respect—you can"t hope to put on a great performance this way!
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom)It"s no use. There"s no stopping them when they get like this.
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
That was terrible.
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom)They didn"t play in time with each other. Not at all...
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Lord Jabu-Jabu!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
You came when you heard my performance, didn"t you? How did you like it?
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Ha! There"s no question that MY playing was what brought him here!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Shut up already!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Huh?
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
B-Boss! Watch out!
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom)Chief Kushara! Get back!
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
How can this be...
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Gulped down! The both of them!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)There"s no time to delay! I"ll go in pursuit of Lord Jabu-Jabu and rescue Rogma!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
No fair! No head starts!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Our friends are in danger! Forget this talk of head starts!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)ME FIRST!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Hey! You cheater!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
This is getting out of control, and we still haven"t been able to ask them what we need! They"ve got to open that door in the den for us. But that"ll never happen at this rate.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
What a mess...
— River Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)Lord Jabu-Jabu went upriver... Do you think he"s heading toward your village?
— Sea Zora (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I bet you"re right! Oh no... I"ve got a bad feeling about this!
— River Zora (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Gaaaah!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)B-Boss!
— River Zora (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
You followed the chiefs to the River Zora village, where you heard Dradd shout from somewhere around the village.
— Adventure Log (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hmm. The Hylian... Hello again. Chief Dradd and I followed behind Lord Jabu-Jabu as he rampaged through here.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Lord Jabu-Jabu wasn"t himself! He struck my poor papa, wh-who... ...f-fell into the rift!
— River Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)That"s when Chief Dradd and I got here, only to see the rift suddenly GROW. Dradd saved this child from being caught but was then swallowed up himself... I can"t say where Lord Jabu-Jabu"s gone. But, Dradd... Oh, it"s all to terrible.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
C-caught in th-that darkness... Swallowed whole... C-c-can"t breathe... Urrrgh... Urrrgh...
— River Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)Hey! What"s wrong with you?
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Aaaaaah...
— River Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)It"s like he"s stuck back in there!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Then I will unstick him...
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Did that help?
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)I"m...I"m... I"m OK now, thanks to you.
— River Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)Ha, well... The music of the Sea Zora lures frantic thoughts into a deep calm.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Ohhh... That performance... Good as it gets.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Chief Kushara! Chief Kushara!
— Sea Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)What"s the matter?!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)It"s Lord Jabu-Jabu! He"s in Zora Cove!
— Sea Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)Right, then! Let"s go!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh, almost forgot about you! Kushara said you saved us. Who are you anyway?
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Zelda, huh? I know I"ve heard that name... Well, Zelda, I owe you a big thanks, but that"s got to wait. I need to catch up with Kushara. I owe her big-time too. See you around!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hraaaaah!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)That was Dradd, wasn"t it? What"s he groaning about?
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
When you went to Zora Cove in pursuit of Lord Jabu-Jabu, you heard Dradd groaning from somewhere.
— Adventure Log (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hraaah! This is too heavy!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh! You again, Zelda. Yeah, you can kind of tell we"re in a real jam here.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)M-my son... and Ch-Chief Kushara... They"re both trapped in this cave! My son wandered off, and I"d just come here to find him when Lord Jabu-Jabu stormed in! Chief Kushara was nearby. During the confusion, she sensed my son was in the cave. She darted inside to make sure he was safe.
— Sea Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)Then—wham!—this pile of rubble fell here. Smack dab in front of the cave!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hm? You... The Hylian! Did you truly manage to swim through all those monsters to reach us?
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hraaaaah! Let"s get in there and save your kid!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Y-yes, please!
— Sea Zora (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
*sob*
— Sea Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)You"re all right, Son... Look, we can easily go outside now.
— Sea Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)*sob*
— Sea Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)You"re safe, child. There"s nothing to be afraid of.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)The poor kid"s frozen to the fins. Too scared for words!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
How"s that?
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Wow! Much better! Thank you!
— Sea Zora (Echoes of Wisdom)Heh! River Zora music if pure oomph. It"ll get anyone"s fins back in fightin" form!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Aha... Your sound was superior.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I"ll admit it, Dradd. That performance was magnificent. Who could have guessed that your music could help one of my people.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Don"t forget—you helped one of mine too. Just repaying a debt. I didn"t get a chance to say it, but the way you played was great. An honor to hear it.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
This is kind of awkward, isn"t it? We never trade compliments.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Every now and then, Dradd... how about we put our squabbles aside and try to help each other out?
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Heh! I was about to say the same thing!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Then we"re agreed. And when you and I work together, we"re a strong tide that lifts all!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
What"s that? You need us to perform at Lord Jabu-Jabu"s den?
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Your name was Zelda, yes? We"re indebted to you, but we must first focus on finding Lord Jabu-Jabu.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Zelda might have the right idea tough, going to his den.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Oh, really?
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)I saw Lord Jabu-Jabu swim back north while you were stuck in here. Could be that he"s gotten tired out after his rampage and gone back to his den.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
That would make sense. Lord Jabu-Jabu rarely moves around this much. We will grant your request, Zelda. Let"s be on our way immediately. We will meet you at Lord Jabu-Jabu"s den!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
It"s a mess in there! Hunks of the ceiling came down. Scary stuff! I got out FAST. I think Lord Jabu-Jabu came back here and thrashed around deep in his den.
— Hemi (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh, Zelda!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Lord Jabu-Jabu DID return here!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
You"ve got to get through this door, right?
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)We normally perform here to open the way. But it"s not so simple now... One of the altars upon which we perform is broken—likely by Lord Jabu-Jabu. We can"t play together until it"s repaired.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)And both have rubble on them! We have to get the altars ready for us. But how?
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
First things first, I suppose... Clearing the rubble seems like the easy part.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Ah! We can perform now! You helped us yet again, Zelda.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)We need a little time to set up. You just sit tight and enjoy!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
The way they played at Crossflows Plaza wasn"t anything like that. Why"d it sound so different?
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Playing in time with each other... Who knew that"d be so FUN? Kushara! You were fantastic!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Oho! Well, you weren"t half-bad either, Dradd.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Playing in time...with each other. I don"t get it. They played together last time too. What changed now? But they seem pretty happy.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Dradd... I"d like to apologize. I"ve behaved terribly. I hope you can forgive me.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Kushara... I feel the same! Sorry for everything!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
We didn"t meant to hold you up, Zelda. The door is now open.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)We"d never have gotten this far without you. We owe you big-time.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Let"s go in to see Lord Jabu-Jabu!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Yes, together!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Lord Jabu-Jabu! We ask that you return our friends to us, please!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Our friends are very dear to us!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh, I have an idea! I bet we"d get him in a better mood if we perform like we did earlier.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Then let"s play our best!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
H-he"s still angry? That doesn"t make sense. Something"s a little off here...
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)A little? Things have been a LOT off ever since he started acting wild!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
The way that big fish looks, Zelda... It"s got to be another impostor from a rift!
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
An impostor?! Huh, now that you mention it, that would explain everything.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Who said anything about an impostor?
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)The round thing next to Zelda thinks that.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh, right... Dradd has been in a rift. He can see me now.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I have no idea who you"re talking about. But, well, I"ll take your word for it.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Let"s show this fake fish you can"t mess with the Zora! And I bet giving it a good thumping will fix all our problems too!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)A fine plan, Dradd. Let"s all dive on in, then!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
All right! We"re right behind you!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Let"s goooo!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Gaaah!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)Wh-what"s this? We"re cut off from Zelda!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I can make an entrance into the rift directly behind that big fish. But not until that creature is out of the way!
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Boss! That was terrifying!
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom)Inawa! I"m sorry! Sorry for all of this!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)I"m sorry too, Rogma. All this because you leapt to my defense.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Seeing you safe brings me great joy. Think nothing of it.
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hey, Boss! Looks like you and Kushara patched things up?
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom)Boy, you missed a lot, didn"t you? We ended up helping each other out.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)We couldn"t have done it without Zelda here.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
That"s amazing! Way to go!
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom)Yes, delightful! How fortunate that we were gulped down by Lord Jabu-Jabu.
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
But if this Lord Jabu-Jabu was an impostor... where in the world is the real one?
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Hmm. I"m sure he"s been swallowed by the rift.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Ugh. The rift, huh? Then there"s not much we can do. But, hold on... You saved me, Zelda. Can you rescue Lord Jabu-Jabu?
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)You seem to be our last hope. Please, save him, if you can!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I can create an entrance here. Stand back, Zelda.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Isn"t this one of the people we"re looking for? He"ll be restored to normal once we take care of this rift.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
My friends shared some of their power with me.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I heard something from my friends while mending the rift. They told me that this was the largest rift they"ve ever mended. None of us realized that rifts could get big like this if we"re unable to do our job... It"s hard to say what would have happened if you hadn"t defeated that monster, Zelda.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
There"s not really anything else to do in the Still World for now... So let"s go back to your world, Zelda.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh, Zelda"s back!
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Zelda, you"re amazing! You got rid of all of the rifts!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom)What about Lord Jabu-Jabu?
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
That big fish was in the Still World. With the rift gone, I"m sure he"s fully back to normal.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom)Really? At long last! Thank you, Zelda.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
You know, Dradd and I are more alike than not. We"re close in age. We care for our villages. Yet we squabble. Maybe we"re far too similar. So we argue over the littlest details. We"ve done this for ages...
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Yeah, but now we know that River Zora and Sea Zora can get more done together. Or, huh...maybe what we really learned is that we got too hot during this squabble.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
You two ARE good friends, usually.
— Inawa (Echoes of Wisdom)W-we are not!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Hey! Shut your gills, Inawa!
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Ahem! In any case... Allow us to express our gratitude, Zelda. We owe you a great deal.
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Chief Kushara! Chief Dradd! Lord Jabu-Jabu has returned to Crossflows Plaza!
— Rogma (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Aha! Let"s go, Zelda!
— Kushara (Echoes of Wisdom)Right! It"s time we celebrate. That"s the least we can do to thank you.
— Dradd (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
It was nice to hear the Zora play their music. I could have listened to that all day. And what a perfect way for the chiefs to make up after all this. Right, Zelda?
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Where am I?
— General Wright (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
You there! I need directions!
— General Wright (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Sorry, not my best manners. My name is Wright—general for the kingdom of Hyrule.
— General Wright (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
I found myself at sea after regaining my senses and heard the music coming from here!
— General Wright (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Do you know the way to Hyrule Cas— Hmm. You... You look a little like... No, it can"t be...
— General Wright (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
It"s you, Princess! I"d have never guessed I"d meet you here of all places! Just imagine, here in Jabul Waters! Now, what in the world has been going on?
— General Wright (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Wh-what?! I can"t believe all THAT happened while I was gone!
— General Wright (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
And so Minister Lefte is at this Lueburry person"s home right now? Then my first order of business is speaking with Minister Lefte—immediately! Hraah!
— General Wright (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh! Well then, where does that leave us? Your father wasn"t here, Zelda. But there is another rift left—the one in the place full of sand, far west of here. Let"s go take care of that rift too.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom) - ↑
Oh! Well then, where does that leave us? We took care of the rift, but didn"t find your father. Zelda... Maybe it"s a good idea for us to head to Lueburry"s house too.
— Tri (Echoes of Wisdom)
