Metal
What do you suppose the shield id made of? Just steel? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eponasowner@legacy41958113 (talk) 23:20, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- It looks mainly composed of steel, but it's gotta be enchanted in some way (even if only fairly minor); after all, Hyrule is all about magic! —Adam [ talk ] 09:53, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
- It Probrably is'nt magic because theres not much of a special guy selling it. He is just buff not magical.Robeluke (talk) 23:55, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
- In OoT you can see that it is made out of a wood backing with a steel covering and edge. PureLocke (talk) 19:12, 21 June 2010 (UTC)
- It's probably magical in Skyward Sword, as it's completely indestructible. I can't remember what it looks from that back (Blame my Wii Motion -_-), but I think it's metal, right? And going sort-of off topic, has anyone noticed the Hylian Shield in A Link Between Worlds looks the same as in Skyward Sword? Ok, back on-topic. --Groose2011 (talk) 18:42, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

a red Hylian Crest representing the Crimson Loftwing that helped Link at the founding of Hyrule.[4]
This is not correct at all.
There is no souerce that proofs that the Loftwing helped founding Hyrule.
Link from Skyward Sword, who saved the Land which later becomes Hyrule, was riding on a Red Crimson, and this is the reason why the Shield shows the red bird.
Link and Zelda founded Hyrule - But not the Crimson Loftwing - Please change. Brosi90 (talk) 08:17, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
