Monster Curries are recurring Meals in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Monster Curries are made by Cooking Hylian Rice, Goron Spice, and Monster Extract together in a Cooking Pot. Since Monster Extract is used in their recipe, the amount of Hearts that they will heal to Link's Life Gauge is random each time they are made. The strength and duration of any status effects will also be random. Monster Curries are considered an unusual take on curry, since their use of Monster Extract mean they do not rely heavily on spices.[1]
Link can add more ingredients when making Monster Curry, which can result in the following variations:
- Chilly Monster Curry:[4] Made by adding chilly ingredients. If these curries are eaten, Link will gain one level of Heat Resistance.[4]
- Electro Monster Curry:[5] Made by adding electric ingredients. If eaten, Link will gain one level of Shock Resistance.[5]
- Enduring Monster Curry:[6] Made by adding enduring ingredients. Link's Stamina Wheel will be restored and overfilled if he eats them.[6]
- Energizing Monster Curry:[7] Made by adding energizing ingredients. Eating these curries will refill part of Link's Stamina Wheel.[7]
- Hasty Monster Curry:[8] Made by adding hasty ingredients. They increase Link's movement speed when eaten.[8]
- Hearty Monster Curry:[9] Made by adding hearty ingredients. When eaten, all of Link's Hearts will be healed and he will gain temporary Hearts.[9]
- Mighty Monster Curry:[10] Made by adding mighty ingredients. Link's attack power can be increased by eating these curries.[10]
- Sneaky Monster Curry:[11] Made by adding sneaky ingredients. When eaten, Link's Stealth will receive a boost.[11]
- Spicy Monster Curry:[12] Made by adding spicy ingredients. Eating them will grant Link one level of Cold Resistance.[12]
- Tough Monster Curry:[13] Made by adding tough ingredients. They can be eaten to increase Link's defense.[13]
