Launch Pads are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series.(TotKTears of the Kingdom)[1]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Launch Pads are pieces of Ancient Technology found within Ancient Shrines. They function similarly to Tilted Platforms but are positioned to move vertically instead. They are typically controlled by Crystals, which can force them to violently move into and out of position and generate enough force to hurl Link and Objects into the air. A Launch Pad can be found in Rota Ooh Shrine.

Tears of the Kingdom

Launch Pads are Zonai Technology that come in two forms. The first variety are machines made from a Stone Slab, a Board, and a Spring. They can be used to launch Link a great distance. Link can learn their Schematic from a Schema Stone, which is given to him by a Steward Construct at the Abandoned Kakariko Mine.[2] Without the proper building supplies, Link needs to spend nine pieces of Zonaite to make a Launch Pad.

The second variety are machines built into the floors of Shrines of Light.[3] They resemble Tilted Platforms that only move vertically. They are typically automated and do not require any external Switches to be activated.
