"Finding the Flying Plant" is a Side Quest in Echoes of Wisdom.[1]

Overview

After Princess Zelda has completed the Main Quest "The Mysterious Rifts", she can encounter Jacint in Suthorn Village, who appears to be concerned.[2] If Zelda approaches him, he greets her and asks if she will speak with him.[3] Jacint explains that his wife, Oethera, has been worried because of the appearance of Rifts and Monsters, and he wants to show her something rare to lift her spirits.[4] During a walk, he came across a flying plant that he wanted to bring to home for her, but he lost sight of it near a Cave in Suthorn Forest.[5] He has been unable to find it since, and he is uncertain if he ever will.[6] Following this conversation, "Finding the Flying Plant" will begin.

When Zelda summons the Echo of a Peahat for Jacint, he will be surprised, and he recognizes it as the flying plant.[7] He thanks Zelda for taking the time to find it on his behalf.[8] He considers retrieving Oethera to show it to her, but he becomes frightened when he realizes that the Peahat is actually a Monster.[9] After he screams for help, Zelda dismisses the Echo.[10] With the Peahat gone, Jacint remarks that he had no idea it was a Monster.[11] He states that it would not have cheered Oethera up, and he apologizes for wasting Zelda's efforts.[12]

At that moment, Oethera steps out of their House, realizing the lengths Jacint went to in order to make her happy.[13] Jacint asks if Oethera overheard his conversation with Zelda.[14] Oethera states that he tends to speak loudly, and she states she is happy as long as she is with him.[15] Jacint is touched by her words, and he suggests that the two of them go traveling after the Rifts disappear.[16] Oethera agrees, and the pair decide to settle on where they will go that night.[17] As a reward for helping him, Jacint gives Zelda a Might Crystal.[18] He then puts forward visiting Seesyde Village or Lake Hylia, but Oethera believes they should take their time before making a decision.[19] The pair then laugh together, and afterwards, "Finding the Flying Plant" will be completed.
