Cece
Cece is a character in Tears of the Kingdom.[2]
Biography
Cece is a famous fashion designer in Hateno Village who has taken over her family's clothing store, the Ventest Clothing Boutique. Cece's designs are known for incorporating the use of Mushrooms, which now adorn the Village.
Cece aims to refresh the Village's old-fashioned focus on its produce, as championed by Mayor Reede, and aims to challenge him for mayor in the village's next election.
In addition to those sold by Ventest Clothing Boutique, Cece herself has a private collection of rare clothing she will personally sell Link (though she does not enjoy parting with it), serving the same purpose as Granté in Breath of the Wild. Cece will not stock a particular item until Link has obtained it himself. Cece also does not stock the outfits worn by past legendary heroes, which are instead exchanged with Bargainer Statues. Cece is the only means of reobtaining the Hylian Shield if it breaks.

Trivia
- Cece's appearance and character appear to take inspiration from Japanese fashion designer Junko Koshino [ja] and artist Yayoi Kusama. In particular, Kusama is well-known for using pumpkins in her designs, which the Sun Pumpkin may be a nod to.
Nomenclature
In Japanese, Cece is the only member of a family in Hateno Village whose Japanese name does not begin with the same kana. Her father Seldon (ソテツ, Sotetsu) and sister Sophie (ソフォラ, Sofora) both begin with ソ (so), while Cece's name (サゴノ, Sagono) begins with サ (sa). However, Sagono may reference the Japanese sago palm, whose Japanese name 蘇鉄 (sotetsu) is the eponym of her father, as well as one of her possible real-life inspirations Junko Koshino whose name is usually written in katakana as コシノジュンコ (Koshino Junko).

Cece asked you to give Reede voters some mushrooms to open their eyes to new ways of thinking. According to her, Reede voters are identifiable by their unfashionable clothing. Travelers, kids, the candidates' families, and temporary residents like Sheikah researchers don't get mushrooms. That leaves eight villagers no dressed in Cece-brand clothes.
