The Blacklist is a feature in Tri Force Heroes.[1]

Overview

The Blacklist acts as a registry of players that Link will not be connected with during online Multiplayer. Link can learn of the feature by speaking to Mr. Tudor, who recommends it as a means to deal with "false heroes".[2] By touching and holding the Hero Panel of the target player and pressing either the A or B button, a prompt appears onscreen to provisionally add them to the Blacklist. This can be performed inside the Multiplayer lobby or at any time during a Level, aside from cut-scenes or Saving; following the Ver. 2.0.0 update, a player can even be Blacklisted after they exit from a game in progress.[3] If Link himself exits from a game, he will be warned by the Match Master of the potential to be Blacklisted.[4]

If a player has been provisionally Blacklisted, then once the team disbands, which will occur automatically after a Level concludes, another onscreen prompt will ask to confirm or cancel that player's permanent addition to the Blacklist.

Up to 100 players can be added to the Blacklist before any new additions begin to overwrite the oldest additions.[5] There is no way to view the contents of the Blacklist or remove individual players, though the entire Blacklist can be cleared at once from the Settings menu on the game's title screen. Players on the Nintendo 3DS Friend List cannot be Blacklisted.[6]
