IMPORTANT: There is a slight resolution problem with the itch.io "play in browser" build, so we included a separate link below to improve the comfort of playing the game on smaller resolutions.
This link is just a temporary fix! The smaller resolution link of the game should not be used for judging, it's exactly the same as the other ones, but was added after the jam.

Blastsmith

You are the town's Blastsmith, sparing no time bringing the finest weaponry to your brave adventuring customers. The world is full of monsters to slay and your services are required, so crank up the furnace, melt some ore, and get working! How long can you last in the heat of the workshop?

How to Play:

  1. Move with the arrow keys or WASD
  2. Interact with the stations by bumping into them
  3. Heat up ore in the lava forge on the left
  4. Mold it into shape
  5. Cool it down
  6. Assemble it
  7. Cash in!

Fulfill the customer's order by heating up ore, taking it to the molds and let it take shape, then cool it down in the water, and finally assemble your desired weapon from the different parts. Failing to fulfill a customer's order will result in losing a heart, after losing all 3 hearts, it's game over!

nice aural and visual feedback. the coreloop is also quite addictive. unfortunatly I was confused at the beginning of the game, cause I couldnt distinguish between decorative and functional tiles. steering is just painfull and the mainreason to quit the game. I wish I had found the recipebook much earlier. the game has a solid apperance but missed the theme of the jam. anyway it should get a few more itterations.. keep it up

Love the art and the game play! The only problem is that it is stressful and a little hard with the time given for every order, and my hand is in slight pain from moving the character (holding down the button would be better than making the player constantly slam the button to get to the other side of the field).

I know this is a jam game, but the idea and art are so good that maybe you could revamp it into something even better.  :)
