A special thanks to Selim Gulesci Nava Ashraf and Jessica Leight for sharing their in-depth research on the mechanisms leading to life skills impact and how these can generalise to other contexts. 🌍 Interested in joining a live replay and discussion with other participants working on life skills programme/policy implementation? We're grateful to have had the opportunity to attend the Girls Agency Research Symposium. AMPLIFY GIRLS’ work around building an adolescent girls agency survey is fundamental as we work towards enhancing girls empowerment programs. 🔍 Research shows how barriers to women’s agency limit their capacity to advocate for investments in themselves, resulting in fewer years of education, more limited labor force participation, and earlier marriages than their male counterparts. Providing girls access to life skills training enhances their abilities to make choices to invest in their human capital accumulation. 📚Our recent Life Skills Toolkit consolidates evidence from 16 randomized evaluations to discuss how life skills training can boost adolescent girls’ agency.
