His extensive career spans 35 countries across 4 continents, and he was proudly recognised as the 1st Microsoft Azure MVP in South Africa in 2017. Lawrance’s dedication to innovation is evident in his unwavering commitment to serving customers, communities, and non-profits on high-impact projects. Lawrance has innovated across local and international customers in the FSI sector. His multi-disciplinary expertise across Azure and AWS, highlighting Application Modernisation, Data & AI, Cybersecurity, Networking & Infrastructure, makes him an invaluable asset to our team. Celebrating Women's Day at Vaxowave: Honouring the Legacy of the 1956 Women’s March   Tomorrow, as we join South Africa in celebrating Women’s Day, we remember the historic Women’s March of 1956 and honour the incredible achievements of women across all fields. This day is a testament to the progress made in promoting inclusion and gender parity in the workplace.   While we acknowledge the strides taken, we are also aware of the gaps that still need to be addressed. This day presents an opportunity to inspire women everywhere to pursue their goals and ambitions.   At Vaxowave, we take immense pride in having 75% of our executive team comprised of women. Let’s use this day to appreciate and celebrate the contributions of women in our workplaces and society, not just in South Africa but globally.  

The Data and AI Community Event at the Coastlands Hotels and Resorts in Durban was an electrifying gathering filled with eagerness, creativity, and cutting-edge content. On July 20, the event saw enthusiastic participation from over 200 attendees and 25 dynamic speakers, each showcasing their dedication through meticulously prepared demos and insightful presentations. The keynote on the "Use of AI" by Niels Berglund and Lawrance Reddy set a tone of innovation for the day. Sessions spanned a wide range of AI and data topics, from live analytics streaming demos with Fabric and Raspberry Pis simulating commercial flight data to a live clothing store mobile app using LLMs and vector search for hyper-personalized online shopping. Highlights included: Deep dives into Azure AI Studio Dynamic contact center demos processing massive data streams with Salesforce DataCloud Creative solutions for integrating OpenAI into existing applications The event wrapped up with inspiring remarks and a prize-giving ceremony, leaving the audience motivated to leverage these ideas and tools to drive innovation in their organizations. This event was a true testament to the vibrancy of the Durban Data/AI Community, providing inspiration and practical insights that empowered all participants. Celebrating Mandela Day with a Purpose The Vaxowave team had the privilege of visiting Kido’s Educare Centre in Protea South Soweto, which nurtures the minds of children aged 2-5 years. As part of our Mandela Day initiative, we sponsored the complete refurbishment of their perimeter fence, ensuring a safer and more beautiful environment for the kids. But our day didn’t stop there!
