Making the absolute most of energy and mineral resources is more important than ever, given the financial and environmental costs of energy use, resource limitations, and the great cost of removing ore from underground - or even sensitive surface environments. South Africa's mineral processing engineers and researchers are responsible for globally impactful innovations, and continue to innovate and improve technologies with a focus on local and continental applications. The annual field of entries for this award has been impressive, and MEMSA has been honoured to recognise innovations by companies AZMET Technology & Projects and Gravitas Minerals. Last year, on receiving their second Innovation Award, Jeantelle Rust, AZMET Business Development Process Engineer spoke about the positive impact of the award on their company and visibility. Listen to the interview HERE! https://lnkd.in/dT8nWw9K Winners of the MEMSA Innovation for MIning Awards will be announced on the 15th and 16th of May, at the Mind Shift 2024 Conference on Innovation, Digital Technologies and Skills in the SA Mining Supply Chain. Eligible companies (at least 26% SA owned) are invited to download the entry form linked below, complete the relevant sections, and submit their entries by the 1st of April 2024. Entrants are asked to describe the technology and the innovation, demonstrate the impact (providing quantitative data) and tell their story in a bigger context. Innovations should have been brought to market between 2022-2024, and successfully trialled at at least one mine. This expansion will cement Truco as Africa’s largest, most comprehensive hose supplier.
