2-million hours worked without lost-time injuries (LTI) since January 2024: The Mining Operations team at Cerro Corona in Peru has done it 🙌 This means 770 people – including our business partners, Mur, Orica, MS4M and Galena, as well 62 community companies – worked together, every day, showing care for each other and a commitment to getting every job done safely. “This achievement, unprecedented in Cerro Corona’s history, fills us with pride. It’s the result of years of leadership and commitment at all levels. We’ve worked together, actively involving our business partners, and developed risk management tools and culture programmes like ‘Courageous Leadership’ and ‘Vital Behaviours’. On-the-ground leadership 🤝 Our Chile team this week welcomed Gold Fields CEO Mike Fraser back to our Santiago office and Salares Norte mine in the remote Atacama desert in Chile. Mike connected with our people and business partners about progress at the mine. He also shared insights on key topics for Gold Fields and the growth of our company. Expomina Perú 2024: #TeamGoldFields was there Expomina is one of the most important mining events in Peru and its neighbouring countries for networking and sharing expertise. Our team was led by Luis Rivera, our EVP: America and President of ExpoMina 2024. Luis delivered the keynote address, highlighting the Americas' huge exploration potential. He emphasised the opportunities mining could bring for economic growth and development in Latin America but also the challenges to this. Giovanni Rossinelli, Sustainable Development Manager, shared insights on the social challenges facing mining projects. He highlighted the importance of promoting dialogue, collaborative work, and improving the lives of people in our communities. 🙌 Thank you also to the team in charge of our booth who shared the story of Gold Fields with visitors, including how we align with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), excellence in our mining processes, the efficient use of resources such as rainwater recirculation, and progress at our Salares Norte operation in Chile, among others. #GoldFields #mining #goldmining

More than 700 people in the remote communities of Chañaral and Diego de Almagro in Chile this year received free dental services through our Smiles for a Future Programme. This is the third year that we have run the programme in partnership with Fundación Sonrisas (Sonrisas) and the relevant municipalities close to our Salares Norte mine. Over two weeks, more than 15 health professionals performed dental checks and clinical procedures, and shared knowledge about oral health and disease prevention. __________ Helping to make healthcare services accessible to the people in our communities is one way we work to share the value of gold mining. 🙌 Check out what Gold Fields leaders – representing all the countries where we operate – got up to on a recent visit to South Africa. From going 3km underground at our South Deep mine and experiencing our virtual reality and simulation training to one-on-ones with other leaders at our head office in Johannesburg 🙌 💪The visit formed part of Gold Fields’ global Inspire Leadership programme. Launched in 2023, Inspire is one of the courses created especially for our company by Korn Ferry to keep developing those leading #TeamGoldFields in creating enduring value beyond mining. A key focus of the programme is visiting our offices and operations across the world for developing global insights and relationships. But this is just one component of Inspire, which five different groups of leaders will complete by 2025.
