Today, Danone opens the next chapter of Renew Danone, projecting the company into the future of health and nutrition!
That’s the message I shared today with our Chairman Gilles Schnepp and the Executive Committee at our Capital Market Event in Amsterdam, which took stock of our journey over the past two years and presented our path forward.
Since 2022, we have radically transformed the company to make it future-ready. With consumer / patient-centricity and science at the heart of our model, we successfully reset the business, improving our portfolio, while investing in innovation, brands, and capabilities. We further linked sustainability to performance, and instilled greater discipline in our operational execution.
But the job is far from fully done, nor will it ever be.
In this new chapter of Renew Danone – to be written over the next four years – we will double down on the fundamentals while projecting ourselves into the future by pivoting the way we look at our categories; broadening our business models and reach; and expanding our geographical footprint.
We will further leverage our scientific expertise to amplify our market-leading brands and seek accretive M&A opportunities.
The food industry is at a tipping point, and the role that food plays in health will become increasingly critical. This gives us a head start in what will be a very different world, which, as a company born in science with a mission of “health through food,” will be to our advantage.
