🎓 Excited to announce my graduation with a Masters of Engineering Industrial! 🎉 I am thrilled to have completed this milestone, and I couldn't have done it without the invaluable support from my supervisor, Dr Lorrainne Doherty Her guidance and mentorship have been instrumental throughout this journey. I am also grateful to my current employer, DANONE SOUTHERN AFRICA, for their generous study assistance program, which enabled me to pursue higher education while continuing to grow professionally.

At Danone, we are proud to celebrate what connects us all: the food we eat. The planet we share. And the love that brings us together.   As a company, we have a strong role to play to move the needle around inclusion. It is up to us to create workplaces that are a safe space to all, places in which everyone feels valued and respected. Diversity, equity, and inclusion are core parts of our DNA. It is a commitment that is embedded in everything we do.   We pride ourselves on building a culture of respect that is inclusive of all: our DEI policy defines the framework for an inclusive workforce and our HOPE values, Danone behaviors and Danoners walking the talk make it an everyday reality.   Let’s strive to cultivate acceptance and tolerance, eliminating discrimination. Brightness Khaliphile Magoso one of our R&I Team members is known for her bold and vibrant personality as well as a Danoner who truly lives our behaviours with curiosity, resilience, and a dash of fearlessness: "Living boldly is living a life that has meaning and purpose in the world. It means doing what you are passionate about to make a difference, its living without fear and advocating for what you believe in. CEO Danone

Today, Danone opens the next chapter of Renew Danone, projecting the company into the future of health and nutrition! That’s the message I shared today with our Chairman Gilles Schnepp and the Executive Committee at our Capital Market Event in Amsterdam, which took stock of our journey over the past two years and presented our path forward. Since 2022, we have radically transformed the company to make it future-ready. With consumer / patient-centricity and science at the heart of our model, we successfully reset the business, improving our portfolio, while investing in innovation, brands, and capabilities. We further linked sustainability to performance, and instilled greater discipline in our operational execution. But the job is far from fully done, nor will it ever be. In this new chapter of Renew Danone – to be written over the next four years – we will double down on the fundamentals while projecting ourselves into the future by pivoting the way we look at our categories; broadening our business models and reach; and expanding our geographical footprint. We will further leverage our scientific expertise to amplify our market-leading brands and seek accretive M&A opportunities. The food industry is at a tipping point, and the role that food plays in health will become increasingly critical. This gives us a head start in what will be a very different world, which, as a company born in science with a mission of “health through food,” will be to our advantage. I am proud to be building the Danone of tomorrow with our passionate and dedicated Danoners and partners! "Living boldly involves speaking up and questioning life’s norms. It means embracing discomfort and vulnerability, allowing yourself to be authentic and genuine. Ultimately, it’s about being unapologetically true to who you are." Shabnam Siddik, Customer Development Manager shares how she lives her bold at DANONE SOUTHERN AFRICA. It was a privilege for Danone to be the only invited industry partner to participate in the recent African Climate Change Roundtable #sustainability #foodinsecurity #climateaction

Food insecurity in South Africa is a pressing issue, and addressing this problem requires a multifaceted approach that includes climate adaptation, structural reforms, and community-driven solutions. With the 2024 elections behind us, the question remains: how will South Africa's leaders address hunger and food insecurity in the face of climate change? It was a privilege for Danone to be the only invited industry partner to participate in the recent African Climate Change Roundtable together with renowned specialists in Agriculture, Financing, and Policy Making. With this level of focus and alignment, Danone's ecosystem of partners makes achieving the mission of health through food to as many people as possible an attainable one. My team member Leanne Kiezer did a sterling job speaking of how Danone's Preserving and Regenerating Nature Roadmap facilitates a healthier planet to yield healthier foods. DANONE SOUTHERN AFRICA

On the 9th of June 2024 I completed my first Comrades marathon, the ultimate human race. Two key things I knew I needed to complete the race were physical strength and mental strength. All built on a good nutrition base. I doubled up on #NutriDay yogurt and refuelled with #Danup to stay energised for the marathons and ultramarathons I ran in preparation for the Big C. Thank you to my family, friends, my colleagues at Danone for the support throughout the preparation journey and for always cheering me on. My goals are up to me. You can achieve anything you put your heart and mind into, at my tender age of 50 I completed the gruelling 86KM ultra marathon! Lerato Belinda Moloi Phumelela Ntlabati DANONE SOUTHERN AFRICA

Did You Know? At Danone, we are dedicated to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions across our entire value chain, in line with the Science Based Target Initiative (SBTi)’s 1.5°C target. By 2030, we aim to cut over 1/3 of our GHG emissions, and we are proud to say we are on track! DANONE SOUTHERN AFRICA is leading the charge with initiatives like our regenerative agriculture campaign, alternative energy solutions, and local sourcing efforts. But we can't do this alone. We rely on our partners and industry peers to join us in this mission. Together, we have the data, expertise, and determination to make a real impact.
