International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week Did you know? Lead exposure, even in small amounts, can have severe health effects, especially for young children and pregnant women. This week, join us in learning how to keep our homes and communities safe from lead exposure: 🔹 Check Your Paint: Homes built before 1978 may contain lead-based paint. Regularly check for peeling paint, and consider professional lead removal for older homes. 🔹 Avoid Lead in Toys: Some imported toys and jewelry may contain lead. Always buy from trusted brands. 🔹 Clean Regularly: Dust from old paint and soil can contain lead. Regular cleaning reduces indoor lead dust. 🔹 Run Your Water: If you have older pipes, let your tap water run for a minute before using it for cooking or drinking. Together, we can protect future generations from the harmful effects of lead. #LeadFreeWorld #LeadPoisoningPrevention #HealthyFuture #Prevention #BeCareful #AfriPharm

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month Breast cancer is the most common cancer worldwide, affecting millions of women each year. This month, we stand together to raise awareness, support those impacted, and encourage early detection. Early detection saves lives! Self-examinations and regular mammograms can help detect breast cancer early, when it’s most treatable. Women over 40 should consider scheduling a mammogram, and those with higher risk factors may need screening earlier. Let’s support ongoing research, empower those currently battling breast cancer, and remember the importance of taking care of our health. Here are some simple ways you can contribute: Share stories to inspire and educate. Donate to organizations supporting breast cancer research. Encourage loved ones to prioritise their health through regular screenings. Together, we can make a difference in the fight against breast cancer. #BreastCancerAwareness #EarlyDetection #PinkRibbon #HealthMatters #SupportTheFight #Awareness #AfriPharm #BreastCancer #Educate #Inspire
