Hi friends! I’ve started writing book 4 (Matts’ story). Though we’ve now completely diverted from the fic origins of LRPD, I’m curious if folks want to follow along chapter-by-chapter as I write it (with the understanding I’ll take it down when it’s published). Let me know your thoughts.

I view it as a personal victory when the copyeditor leaves content notes. I got three on LRPD, two on LYNLTP and have just broken the record today with FOUR on AHTU. To quote said editor: hell yeah.
Also, this means we’re not only on track but ahead of schedule for late winter/ early spring publication. Hurray!
The author copies have arrived! And Deacon is hard at work signing them (and bookplates).
I’ll start sending them out tomorrow in batches of 20 per day. But I’ve got 150 books to send (between LYNLTP and LRPD) so it will take a while to get them all out. I will email you once yours is sent and make posts on all my social media accounts at the end to make sure I haven’t forgotten anyone.

When you ask for a “surprise” inscription.
This weekend I got 25 copies of AHTU (and a couple of LRPD and LYNLTP) signed, personalized, boxed, and ready to head out tomorrow. My goal is to get another ten ready and sent each day this week and hopefully by the end of next weekend all 120(!!) will be shipped. Keep an eye on your email if you ordered one from me!

AHTU is Rome and Damien’s origin story (you’ll recognize them from the end of LYNLTP) (or, if you’ve been around for a bit, from the fic of the same name, though, fair warning, it’s very scrubbed).
I’m also about ¼ of the way through writing book 4 which is currently untitled but will include all the folks from books 1-3 as background characters and round out Matts’ redemption arc as he stumbles his way through wooing his trans rockstar girlfriend, Sydney. 🎸🎤🤘🏼I’ll start posting individual chapters of it next week (just as soon as I come up with a title)🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️❤️
Ok I know I should be focused on LRPD/LYNLTP right now but I just submitted my second round edits and we’re finalizing the cover for All Hail the Underdogs and I CANNOT HANDLE how perfectly Jick (@it-is-ineffable) has drawn these boys. So here’s a little sneak peak:

Ok I've received some messages asking about the cover design process for LRPD and it's really quite simple: I messaged @it-is-ineffable to see if they were open to a cover art commission like, yeah I want it to look something like this??
And Jick was like "Np. I got you":

And we’ve been working on the cover for book two. In which I sent an even worse rough draft:

Now we're finalizing the tag line and I'll have the real actual cover for book two to share in just a few days! :)

Time for line edits on LRPD!!
This week, I’ve started brainstorming covers for book two after Like Real People Do. This is my favorite one so far. I think I’ll do a better sketch and send it off to the illustrator! Basically they swapped clothes and are turned more toward each other now (Eli isn’t short, I’m just terrible at perspective).
