We lost our Zea location in Slidell many years ago (my first date with my boo). When I was visiting one of my friends in the area, they mentioned this establishment and I thought when ours closed, they all closed. NOPE! Such a great food, the staff is always so pleasant,I to copycat several of the recipes and have never been able to emulate what they perform. We chose the honey Island chicken sandwich. One got it regular as the menu offers. The other two got it without a bun and it was just as good either way.

If you want good food, and you would like to leave with a desire to always want to come back, this is the place. It has been over four years that I"ve been to a Zea"s, and it was just as good as the day that I had it last Than this visit.

Cons. Unethical business practice. On the fraud side. My meal was $23. I left $6 cash tip. Today my Venmo credit card was updated from $23 to $28. I was with a party of 3 total. If I ever eat here again it will be cash only. I don"t patronize stealing and bad business practices.

Pros. Rotisserie chicken was amazing. Pasta was good. Rice was cold. Fried potatoes were good. String beans were good. Red beans and rice delicious. Duck empanada was delicious.
Waitress was available and friendly

I"ve been here a few times but it had been a quite a while since my last visit. The Asian Almond Shrimp has always been my go-to but this new item we tried blew me away. Yes, it"s basic bread and oil but the spices used were superb. Super cheap for the amount you get and I would not mind having it as a meal for future visits.

Fabulous food. The wait staff are very accommodating. The owner wants your dining experience to be memorable. Zara"s is definitely a place to dine when in Lafayette, Louisiana.

The service was super friendly and attentive. The bronzed trout was fresh and cooked good! Love the texture of the broccoli. I didn"t care for the Thai broccoli or the bbq chicken my husband had because it was more of a mustard taste so not for me but he loved it! The place was crowded. Yes, I recommend this place.

Everything was perfect. Food service and cleanliness. Waiter was super. Parking was very convenient.

The service was a little slow but it was lunch hour during the holidays. I always recommend the duck and grits. The greens are always delicious and the Thai ribs were superb! I would have given five stars but the duck was not as crispy as in the past

Our first time dining at Zea, and it"s definitely all that we thought it was and more. We arrived right at opening and was greeted and seated quickly, and our server arrived and quickly received our drinks and ordered our appetizers which was the duck empanadas, crispy outside and perfectly seasoned filling inside, with the seasoning on the wrap put this over the top, definitely top 2 ever. For our entree"s the beef sirloin texture was great and the sauce added extra flavor, and the Thai green beans for the side were spectacular. The bbq chicken and St Louis rib combo!!!! Perfect Smokey taste throughout, and the bbq sauce enhanced this was just amazing, and the side creamy grits, and collard greens rounded out a perfect lunch. Perfect place for group or intimate meals. Let me also speak on the customer service, as this was amazing from initial greeting to server to even a manager making sure we were ok and enjoying our meal, great to see the superior hospitality.

Our service was wonderful. They were very busy, it was closing time, and we didn"t feel rushed. The food was wonderful too.

The food is phenomenal! Will definitely be frequenting this place when in the area! The service was great and loved the shrimp and grits!
