Celebrating a friend's birthday here was a fantastic choice. The menu was full of surprises, each dish a masterpiece. The friendly staff added a personal touch to our celebration.

I really wish I can rate this restaurant 6 stars to truly differentiate it from the others!
My boyfriend took me here for dinner. On a Saturday night right as they opened. Reservations highly recommended.
The ambiance when you walk into the restaurant is absolutely beautiful.
We were seated on the second level (per our request). Our waitress was extremely kind and attentive. Servers and bussers around constantly maintaining the tables (I love that)!
The sommelier was very helpful and help picked perfect bottles for our dinner.
The food was amazing!! The duck liver pate is a must try. we also enjoyed delicious cheeses, pasta, prime rib. Everything was so delicious.
I understand why this restaurant is ranked top 5 in LA, will be returning to enjoy breakfast her soon!
Cheers!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 17, 20242 check-ins
OMG! Finally got around to visiting Republique and it did not disappoint. We came on weekday and surprisingly the atmosphere was buzzing. Interior has a cool European vibe with plenty of seating options. Parking is mainly valet, but street parking is available if you can find a spot. It was pretty packed inside for brunch, so we decided to sit in the patio. Semi-casual service - order your food at the counter, find a seat and wait for your order to arrive.
We got potato pancake, which was kind of like salmon benedict on potato latkes. It's topped with smoked salmon, salmon roe, hollandaise and soft poached eggs. Super high quality and every ingredient works perfectly. Eggs were cooked well and oozing with deliciousness. Potato is thick and crisp, while soft in the center. This was truly an amazing dish. Best salmon benedict I've ever had. Kimchi fried rice was another standout, served with dice short rib, poached egg and radish. Classic Asian comfort food and very well prepared. Chicken and waffles were terrific too. It comes with ultimate sweet-and-savory combo of bacon country gravy and maple syrup, so don't expect me to share.
To pair with our meal, cold and hot matcha and ube latte. Drinks were delicious and flavors were on point, complementing our savory dishes.
We couldn't resist the tempting dessert selection, so we rounded out our meals with pistachio almond san rival cake, ube crinkle and brown butter oatmeal cookies -everything absolute yummy treat.
Entire meal did not come cheap, but you're paying for quality and good food. Overall wonderful experience and service. We will be looking forward to trying other dishes and pastries next time.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Dec 8, 20241 check-in
We've been wanting to check out this place for a while. It's a trendy restaurant in Miracle Mile and looks really nice, although the pricing is also trendy. Tbh that is to be expected in this area. Hip and expensive lol.
We arrived during lunch time on a weekday and there was already a long line. Theres a togo window outside separate from the dine in line. You order at a counter and get a number. Then you find a table and have your food brought to you. I would suggest having someone reserve a table while another person orders. Feels like a place like this with its pricing should have more traditional table service. Inside its really nice. Busy but spacious with a market place kind of decor.
The ube latte is legit. Tastes like ube and there is halaya/coconut? I had mine iced. That was ok. But hot version we ordered is where the flavor really comes out. I suggest the hot for sure.
The portions arrive small but its pretty good! The Kimchi fried rice was delicious with a slight spicy kick to it. The Filipino bbq pork belly dish did not skimp out on the fat. Some people don't like it but thats were the flavor explodes! Small portions but both really good. We ordered an ube brioche and ohhh boy that is good! Flaky and some real ube flavor coming in hot! Wish we didn't get it upside down in the container though lol.
Parking can be hard if you're looking for street parking. They have valet but it looked like even that was packed. Just an fyi but you probably expect that if you're heading out to the La Brea/Hollywood area.Helpful 1Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 8, 20241 check-in
It's always a hit at Republique!
My recommendation is if you're planning on going for weekend brunch, avoid peak times around 11a-12p and the line will be actually relatively quick and you'll miss the wave! For parking I prefer the convenience of valet but if you're lucky you can also try to find street parking with a meter out front or around the neighborhoods in the back.
Once you enter the restaurant, you meet the pastry counter where they'll take your order right away. Then you pay at the register with the rest of your order and find your own seating. There's always a constant movement of people so we didn't have a hard time at all finding seats!
Their assortment of pastries are always so incredible and always on a new rotation. We got the ube bread and matcha yuzu cake and both were so so good. The Ube bread was filled with this Ube cream and the outside was so crispy with a moist inside that was so mouthwatering! And the matcha Bundt cake was so light and refreshing. I was obsessed with both and highly recommend them!
The Maine lobster omelette was a little bit rich for me when topped with the hollandaise sauce and guyerre cheese but the lobster portion inside very generous and the omelette is sooo fluffy! It comes with a zesty side salad that complimented the dish so well.
The shakshouka was DELISH! It was so perfectly savory and was a burst of flavor with the herbs, I wish I had more! The texture of the chickpeas also added something fun to the dish and tasted sooo good with the rest of the meal.
I love this place. It'll never disappoint.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 15, 2024
Super busy on the weekends which means a lively and rustic environment to have brunch in. The brunch menu is extensive but lackluster. My shakshouka was ok: the eggs a little underdone for my liking and the tomato mixture underspiced and too acidic. The fresh baguette it came with was the best part. I would say go for the pastries instead. We had a delicious fruit tart and a pumpkin muffin turned upside down and glazed.

I've gone to Republique several times over the years and it's always consistently great! The pastries and the brunch are top-notch, and the ambiance inside is gorgeous.
I love the eggs benedict, the kimchi fried rice and the Shakshouka. For dessert, I've also gotten the basque cheesecake recently and it was so decadent and delicious!
Sure, sometimes there is a line to wait on outside, but it's always worth it! A great go-to brunch spot.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 13, 20241 check-in
This place had been on my Yelp list for a while, but I only recently got the opportunity to try it. We waited in line and this place was busy on the weekend. Parking was a bit of a headache as it was confusing parking near the restaurant, and an adjacent parking lot appeared to be only permitting permit holders to park there, but people seemed to ignore that. Moreover, there were two entrances but one was blocked by a car which felt like illegal parking but I guess as it is a private lot, I just got to deal with it. This creates an awful situation where every path is one way but you wouldn't realize until you come face to face with another car also trying to leave and I can imagine what a nightmare that would be. I digress as I found somewhere to park on the local street.
The line was quite long which means that finding a place to sit would be tricky. You pick your own seat and you indicate your order number with one of these number signs, but here our number sign was a cute cup. I love the aesthetics here, be it the decor or even the food. There were so many dessert goods I wanted to try, but I am trying to live a balanced life. I enjoyed the green juice and the matcha yuzu coconut Bundt cake. The shakshuka and the kimchi fried rice were also tasty.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nov 23, 2024
Been here numerous times but in summation: their breakfast is on POINT! Their dinner is also good but too expensive to warrant the food.
Breakfast first as it was fantastic. Had their Vietnamese coffee and their latte. Both were absolutely delicious.
Then had their omelette and their croque madame. First of all both came with salad and I hate salad but the dressing on the fresh salad was fantastic. The croque was one of the best ones I've had not in Paris and the omelette had fresh ingredients throughout that made it wonderful.
Also took pastries to go. Overall the top hitters were the bombolone, the blueberry muffin, and their chocolate chip cookie.
As for dinner we got the duck, the bread (which you have to pay for as an appetizer - note it's unlimited and you're really just paying for the compound butter), and the cheese board. Finished it off with their strawberry dessert. All in all everything was great but it was just so tremendously expensive and made it feel not worth it.
Parking here sucks. It's either valet (15 dollars) or street. BUT if you go south one block and west one block there's a lot behind the building. Recommend doing that.
All in all an LA staple. But come here for breakfast and get your mind blown for a decent price or come for dinner and pay too much but impress your out-of-town-ers.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0
