Q:
Are dogs allowed?
A:
Hello Rachel! While we love our 4-legged friends, unfortunately, our insurance company does not. We are sorry for any inconvenience but we cannot have dogs here.
Jennifer L., Business OwnerQ:
Is there a way to sit and eat outside without renting a fire pit?
A:
Lots of outside seating. I don't think they have access to fire pits outside only tables. There is a heater in the gazebo area if heat is your concern.

Only been once or twice but atmosphere is amazing in the evening hours (as I am sure it is any day or time). My friends and I loved our wine slushies- they were delicious. Quite a few of us bought wine to go too after our yummy wine tasting! It was sooo affordable for how much wine we got too!

It is difficult when establishments step out of their core strengths and try something special. CH tried to present a Mother's Day without much success.
The facility is still nice and spacious. It seated our large party well. The serving team did their very best to make us feel welcome.
The menu was $28 per person. There were be special drinks included - not even decaffeinated coffee. The mother received no special treatment like many other places would. No special linens or flower treatments on the table. The utensils were plastic - we broken two forks in the course of the meal.
There was a nice selection of food items. The fruit was fresh and tasty! The rolls were picked through and only large rolls existed. The salmon and bagel and cream cheese were well done! The eggs and sausage was cooked like it should - no omelette station...just scrambled eggs. The Canadian bacon was tasty. The hash brown casserole was mushy and awful! The pancakes were hard and cold and broken into pieces.
I hope CH gives up on this idea next year or makes a stronger effort to do it better. The 2024 edition was no good!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Thank you for reaching out. We will take your feedback into consideration for our future events.
Aug 11, 2018Previous review08-10-18 visit - CH has really grown since my last review. They have a wide variety of wines to reach all taste buds. I like their Cab Sauv. However I've migrated from some of the sweet whites that most people will start with and love.
CH has added a large outdoor seating area. It allows you to spread out which is good for groups and parents with kids. The outdoor area has a nice band stage which can still be loud. CH had been bringing in good music consistently. You will find a variety of food trucks on a Friday or Saturday night. The variety of food trucks bring quality food and help you enjoy the experience more.
CH also built a farmers market. They have a wide variety of vegetables, meats, baked goods, jams and other items. We will usually drop in to grab a snack to eat with the wine while listening to music and talking with friends.Mar 1, 2015Previous reviewCH is a great place to go and relax. They have a large facility with lots of tables to hang out. Their variety of wines will meet about everyone's tastes. Wine tasting is free! Most weekends they have entertainment until about 8pm - which is always enjoyable! You must give this place a try - especially in the summer time when you can relax on the porch in a rocker!!

Came on a weeknight for singo and it was packed! Fun time overall! The food surprised me and it was very good! The tacos had great flavor and the pickled onions gave it a nice crunch and freshness. Wine flight had good size pours for a flight and price. The tuna salad exceeded my expectations. The tuna steak was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Outside ambiance is much better than in. Tables and fire pits outside don't really match the cabin/hunter vibes inside.

Country Heritage Winery is a hidden gem in northern Indiana. Very close to Ft Wayne it boasts ample outdoor seating and plenty of of unique firepits for fall wine sipping. Their outdoor space also has a large pond to sit by and watch the sunset while sipping on some amazing wine.
One of the big benefits of this winery is they also have a nice variety of food. My favorite was their brisket mac and cheese. It was soo soo good and went well with their 2 oz tasting pours.
Service was great. Our wine person was knowledgeable and very nice.
Definitely love them for their semi-sweet wines. Very good and worth taking home a bottle.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 10094138Feb 25, 2024
My friends and I have been making it a yearly tradition to rent an igloo to celebrate my friends birthday. . This year we did the Girl Scouts cookies wine flight. All the wines we tried were delicious. We also ordered additional wine and food. My favorite wine was the Cranberry Riesling. I ended up taking a bottle home. The igloo was decorated for St. Patrick's Day. It looked really cute. We had a great time!

Normally great. Im literally sitting here with 2 friends. Half the winery tables and most pits empty. Had reservations and started inside. Great server. Moved outside to pits. Asked to buy wood. Want $60 and reservation . Cmon guys- open seating first come first serve! Can't buy wood. Seriously need to evaluate things on the fly! You aren't busy on a beautiful night. Sell the wood to paying customers so we can continue our evening. We spent plenty with wine and food before moving outside. All we want is to use the very empty pits! It's October for heaven sake. It's almost 8pm.....cmon we can do better guys! We still love ya though.
Business owner replied! I do appreciate your perspective. Added a star because she replied quickly. I don't fully disagree, just if we could adapt for people to be able to use the pits when they aren't being used would still be a great thing for customers and for your business. We were willing to pay for the shorter time available and I know many others would as well. We still love this place and will continue to come back Thanks Jennifer!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Brandi,
Thank you for your feedback! We do reserve our fire pits for $60, and we had a couple already booked for Friday evening. We would have loved to reserve and light one for you, too.
We understand your perspective, but to be fair to all our customers, including those who had already paid, we must stick to our rental policies. We hope you still enjoyed your evening and will consider visiting us again soon.

Everything we love this place though it's pricey. I guess we need 85 characters which is stupid.

I've been visiting Fort Wayne for several years and had no idea this winery existed. It is so big with lots of areas for sitting on the inside. I visited in the late fall and saw they had igloos set up on the outside patio for the winter.
Wine tasting is available at $5 for five 1 oz pours. They had a nice selection from dry to semi dry all the way to sweet. I ended up getting a bottle of the cab sav to enjoy with my party at the winery.
In the summer this must be a great spot and I already have it on my list to revisit when I am back in town.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
