I notice several times a malicious edit (I see it at the pages I follow at the Hebrew Wiki), and I can not block the person who does such damage. I have been checkuser and admin in He-wiki for the past seven years, so I know the job. --Deror avi (talk) 12:46, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]- Weak Support. I don't see any engagement outside of editing items over the past two months. I think it's important that admins have some understanding of the community side of the project, and preferably do some counter-vandalism. But, the user has a lot of experience across Wikimedia, and these things aren't hard to learn with that background. Please do try to get engaged with the community as well, both now and after this request. -- Ajraddatz (talk) 18:22, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Support. I saw the username and had no doubt supporting. Deror has all the qualities needed to be a Wikimedian who should be given whatever button he wants: already sysop and checkuser on a major wiki (he.wp); past Wikimania organiser; and enough edits on this wiki to know how this place works. - Support per Ajraddatz. --Rschen7754 21:34, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

- Support Per Ajraddatz. Communicating with the community is essential for an administrator. Esteban16 (talk) 16:09, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

- Support I know him from He-wikipedia and I think he will be a good reinforcement to the admins. - yona b (talk) 09:43, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Support Please play it safe and ask if you meet with unfamiliar (Wikidata-only) tasks. Good luck! Bencemac (talk) 14:03, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Support I am happy to trust him to be sensible even with limited WD community experience. Andrew Gray (talk) 21:09, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]- @Deror avi: You haven't written a blurb for yourself, did you really intend to apply for adminship here in Wikidata? ArthurPSmith (talk) 17:33, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Yes. Sorry. Deror avi (talk) 17:40, 26 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- @Deror avi: Could you add babel to your global user page? In my opinion, it is necessary for an administrator. Bencemac (talk) 17:45, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Done as requested. Deror avi (talk) 18:02, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- Question @Deror avi: So is it your intention to only work in the recentchanges and user management space; not to be working in the property and policy side? — billinghurst sDrewth 23:48, 28 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
- yes. I wish mostly to stop vandalism if I see it. (I fear my English is not good enough for policy discussions). Deror avi (talk) 19:59, 29 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
