Discussion
[edit]- Comment I don't understand purpose of this property proposition, and cannot read it from examples. Jura could you please elaborate your motivation? KaMan (talk) 10:36, 11 August 2018 (UTC)
- "à" when used before "le" blends into "au". In the above samples, there are two lexemes: one for "à" and another for "à" combined with the definite article. Somehow the first should link to the second.

- Comment I understand the idea but the proposed structured seems very bad. I know French, I know these words, I know well Wikidata and data in general but I don't understand the "subject has a specific lexeme". And à (L9107) on à (L9107) seems strange too, this is contraction not composition and is « au » really a form of « à »? for me, it's isn't. Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 15:26, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
- I think there needs to be some indication that the contraction happens. One could merely link there new forms from the lexeme or qualify "à" in some way. How would you model it? Let's discuss the label of P5238 at here. Also, there seems to be some error with IDs in your comment.

- Comment I updated the sample. Please check the "see also" too. --- Jura 15:17, 13 September 2018 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what's the best way to connect this, but the meaning, based specifically on the examples, seems to be "is a suppletion (Q324982) of". However, as I understand it, a suppletive form in the data structure of Wikidata lexemes, is still a normal form. The inclusion of suppletive forms in lexicographies is a separate, unrelated issue. From the point of vie of structured data, meilleur is a form in the same way that bons is a form. What makes it particular is really that it's a comparative form, of which there are very few in French. Still a form, though. Circeus (talk) 15:29, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
