Discussion
- Support I think this is a good idea. However, we don't seem to have wikidata items (yet) for these fault types - or at least not for "strike-slip". These seem important enough in their own right I think you should go ahead and create them now and list the values (or a superclass) here. ArthurPSmith (talk) 14:39, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

- Oppose Unless it can be shown that has cause (P828) is not adequate for this purpose. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 21:13, 19 April 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose with current name. The current name seems more general than something that's limited to earthquakes. I also think that the current description doesn't do enough to explain what the concept is about. ChristianKl ❪✉❫ 12:45, 7 May 2018 (UTC)
- Oppose Per comments above. It needs explanation why more general properties (has cause (P828) or some system of subclasses/instances?) cannot be used --Vojtěch Dostál (talk) 07:07, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
- @NMaia: do you want to complete ?
