Formatter URL | https://opencorporates.com/companies/se/$1 or https://www.allabolag.se/$1 (need to replace the "-" in the value with nothing) (and the gov. run lookup is POST only) |
Robot and gadget jobs | Can be imported from Swedish Wikipedia or Opencorporates. |

Motivation
[edit]The motivation is to create a public api for looking up most swedish companies as these aren't publicied in a public domain way similar to CVR (Danish variant). Please do note that for private person companies the ID will be a SSN. But an SSN is public information in Sweden aswell. - jnylen (talk) 13:45, 20 January 2019 (UTC).
Discussion
[edit]- Support. Maybe ArthurPSmith can help with setting up a formatter URL for this one? − Pintoch (talk) 10:36, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- Nevermind, I have added a formatter URL via OpenCorporates. Sorry for the noise. − Pintoch (talk) 10:46, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Pintoch: Do mind that OpenCorporates does not have all companies in their register while Allabolag.se, Merinfo.se, Ratsit.se does have all. As they fetch it from Bolagsverket directly or from SCB (Swedish Central Statistics Bureau). - jnylen (talk) 13:33, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Jnylen: I had no idea. Do you have an example of a record that is in Allabolag.se and not OpenCorporates? (Any idea why OpenCorporates does not include everything? What is the criterion?) In that case a formatter URL from the others could be useful indeed. − Pintoch (talk) 13:39, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Pintoch: I added the Bolagsverket number to the example (no 5). It is not listed on opencorporates (maybe due to it not being a corporate?). Also the Arla Foods item at OpenCorporates has the wrong name (Semper Foods) they haven't been named that for years. - jnylen (talk) 13:45, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Jnylen: Great, thanks. Okay, it's probably that OpenCorporate's version of the register is outdated? If the Swedish versions are more current then it would make sense to use them by default. (OpenCorporates does harvest a lot of legal entities that are not businesses, so I don't think they deliberately filter these out - at least not for France). − Pintoch (talk) 13:50, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Pintoch: I think the main issue for Sweden is that while we say most info is public info (company, person SSN, taxes etc) it really isn't. You have to pay to access those details. The Swedish versions will always be current as they pay 12k eur per year to get those details. For how our numbers work see my comments to ChristianKI. But also, any person can have a EF (private person "company") which uses the persons SSN as the company org number. So it will be hard for OpenCorporates to really have every company if they don't pay Bolagsverket, SCB, Tax Authority and other departments for the data. Hopefully we get this data open soon. - jnylen (talk) 13:56, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

- @Jnylen: Who's the authority that determines the number? Can you add that information to the descrption? ChristianKl ❪✉❫ 13:00, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- @ChristianKl: Added. The number is basically, the first number: 2: County, City, Muni.. 5: Limited company. 7: Economic Associtation. 8: Foundation. 9: HB or KB (https://www.solidinfo.se/hjalp/organisationsnummer) - jnylen (talk) 13:33, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- @ChristianKl: Just noticed. Basically we have multiple government run departments that issue each type of id as is listed on the solidinfo.se page. For example so does a seperate government department issue church IDs. While our tax authority does foundations etc. So just typing "Determined by Bolagsverket" isn't true in itself. So if you have an idea there rather than listing every single government department that issue them that would be amazing. - jnylen (talk) 13:43, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- @Jnylen: How about "given out by the responsible government department?". Also note, that the description doesn't allow Wikitext and templates. ChristianKl ❪✉❫ 16:54, 20 January 2019 (UTC)
- @ChristianKl: Sounds good. Added it. Okey thanks for telling me. - jnylen (talk) 19:38, 20 January 2019 (UTC)

- @Pigsonthewing: it isn't, as not all ids are available through OpenCorporates ID (P1320) (see the discussion above). We currently have 8 other properties which overlap with OpenCorporates ID (P1320) (and we should keep them), so that's clearly not a reason to reject this. − Pintoch (talk) 23:34, 26 January 2019 (UTC)
