- Support. Lots of excellent matching already done. Getting this property approved will make geo-matching also possible, which should help even more. (In addition to this being an excellent database, well worth having the links to & being able to easily reference from wikidata). Jheald (talk) 17:24, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Jheald:: why would you have to wait for property approval to start geo-matching? It's already here in Mix'n'Match! Nono314 (talk) 20:00, 14 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support external identifier. John Samuel (talk) 18:17, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
- Support If "mm." is in the identifier for all of the museums, perhaps that should be part of the formatter URL and can be omitted from the identifier? UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 15:50, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
Although it is the case that all MM records have an ID starting mm.,oh - one doesn't! - https://museweb.dcs.bbk.ac.uk/Museum/domus.NE043 - it is equally the case that MM specify the ID as including that mm. - see https://museweb.dcs.bbk.ac.uk/allmus - and so if WD is to store the MM ID, it's probably better to replicate the source than truncate it. Not least, any searches for or queries on the WD MM ID values which start from an apprehension of the MM ID format can be expected to include the mm. --Tagishsimon (talk) 22:31, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Tagishsimon, Pigsonthewing, Jheald, Jsamwrites: Done as Mapping Museums ID (P10873). UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 22:29, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Tagishsimon: Please check the regex used in the property. When you try to add the IDs to museum items, it reduces the ID to just the numeric value at the end. For example, when I tried to add "mm.domus.SE462" to Rye Art Gallery (Q29364128), it only kept "462". UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 22:29, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Tagishsimon: No worries, the regex is now working. I guess it just took a few minutes for it to kick in. UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 22:34, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
