Motivation
[edit]Local Government Directory, a website run by the Government of India, maintains directory of rural and urban local governments in India and their political territorial entities. The codes used by them will help link political territorial entities of India in the form of different labels of panchayati raj in India (Q1143900) and municipalities. Moreover these codes will also be useful to link the directory data with the Indian census data eventually and improve the data quality. Bodhisattwa (talk) 14:18, 25 January 2019 (UTC)
