Representing the original name of a subgenus

[edit]

Hi @rdmpage: In representing the wikdata item Heliophobus (Q50754120) as a subgenus, I stated that the original combination (P1403) was Heliophobus (Q5705804), a genus. I was wondering just how one represents in wikidata the fact that under the new scheme Heiiphobus has moved to being a subgenus and what property should be used to give the original name. Hi, this is a good question to which I don't have a good answer. I'm not sure that original combination (P1403) is appropriate. Perhaps @Succu: has some thoughts? Rdmpage (talk) 18:58, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@MargaretRDonald, Rdmpage: We have this zoological name is coordinate with (P2743). --Succu (talk) 19:17, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Succu, Rdmpage: Thank you both very much. MargaretRDonald (talk) 19:28, 26 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Succu, Rdmpage: The property, this zoological name is coordinate with (P2743), is a reciprocal relationship. Therefore it fails to represent the priority of the genus. Thus the idea of organising an automatic appending to the taxonbar as is done via the property, original combination (P1403), (which I had hoped for) is not sensible.
