Modified labels and descriptions EN, FR, DE
[edit]New English, French and German labels and definitions for this item were determined by the Linked Open Data Ecosystem for the Performing Arts (LODEPA) Working Group at meetups held on 21 December 2023 (minutes), 20 June 2024 (minutes) and 12 September 2024 (minutes). Discussion began when members of the group sought to clearly distinguish a festival as a recurring event vs. a one-off event vs. a specific edition of a recurring event. Because one-off festivals have more in common with festival editions, it was decided that these two entities should be grouped together under the same Wikidata item. As such, this label was changed to "festival occurence", in order to broaden the scope of the existing festival edition item to incorporate one-off festivals.
The LODEPA Working Group has been meeting quarterly since 2020 to discuss modelling issues pertaining to the performing arts. The working group maintains the Wikidata:WikiProject Performing arts and the Wikidata:WikiProject Cultural venues. Dlh28 (talk) 21:49, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
