          One and a half years, that is how long Hope Mikaelson lived a life without any world-ending incidents. In year one, she graduated from the Salvatore school, and in year two, she began college in an art program at UCLA. Her college life as the tribrid was surprisingly peaceful; she enrolled as Andrea Kenner, stunned her peers with her art, kicked evil butt occasionally, and took copious amounts of the student body to her bed. Yes, the year seemed like a dream, and unfortunately, it was time to wake up.
          
          Vincent called, warning her about some cult called the 'Followers of the Damned' practicing some unknown and dangerous magic involving numerous disappearances and sacrifices in LA. Nothing new in their world, but the odd part is that their sect is made up of nearly every faction there is. He warns that if she confronts them, he can't be sure of what she will find.
          
          He was right. Hope didn't expect a battle with the mysterious Riazor Bennet when fighting the cult. She didn't expect the unusual magic coming from him, nor how crossing fists with him, working with him moved her heart. Hope never expected to be dragged into another dimension with him.
          
          Alone with strange Bennet, Hope must learn to trust him as the two navigate a world much like their own in a desperate attempt to get back home. They will encounter never-before-seen creatures, war with the horrific Deadites, uncover a sinister plot to enslave their world and confront the possibility of a new epic love. That's if they don't kill each other first.
