A short story:
Band of brothers
This story takes place during Camlann
Sir Gawain swings Galatine and takes out more than one thousand knights while saying
“ The sun shall never set in the midst of battle! “
Sir Gawain has several wounds but he still stands strong.
“ Mordred!! “ yells Sir Gawain.
“ Gawain “ said a voice.
Sir Gawain turns around and that is when Mordred runs Clarent right through Sir Gawain’s heart.
Sir Gawain drops Galatine and with his last strength, Sir Gawain gently places his hand on Mordred’s head.
Mordred looks at Sir Gawain confused.
With a smile, Sir Gawain says
“ I am sorry..... as your older brother.... I am sorry... if only I had known.. I could have stopped this. “
Sir Gawain now died in Sir Mordred’s embrace.
Mordred pulls out Clarent and gently places Gawain’s body on the ground.
“ We shall meet again, in Avalon.... and this... brother, this was not your fault “ said Sir Mordred as he swept away a single tear from his cheek.
