She's gone. She's gone. How can she just be gone? She could be hurt or dead, who knows.

Fox's vision blurred and her knees felt weak. Fear. Deep, uncontrollable fear, so raw it hurt, gripped her chest. She could feel her heart hammering and her throat was tightening. She tried to keep herself from hyperventilating, but couldn't seem to get enough oxygen into her lungs. Neck breaking out in a sweat, she shuddered uncontrollably. No, no, no, not now. Don't panic now. You haven't had an attack in years! Don't break that record now, not in front of all these people! But it was no use. Fox could feel the panic settling in, suffocating her.

The faces of the dozens of people blurred together, drowning her. Why did there have to be so many of them? She could face down monstrous hydras, cyclopes, gorgons, even sirens without the slightest fear, but somehow a large crowd of people was enough to make her break out into a cold sweat. But it wasn't the horde that was terrifying her at the moment, though they certainly weren't helping any.

The only face that filled her vision at the moment was Aviva's. Oh, gods. Not her. Please not her. I can't lose her too. Not after-

    "I-I can't breathe."

"Oh would you shut up!" Pandora yelled at the boy across from her. "Or what? What are you going to do? That witchy shit you love to do or maybe splash me?!" Luke laughed sharply as he started towards Pandora. She shook her head as a small gasp left her lips as her back hit the wall, "looks like you've ran out of places to go Crescent" he said tauntingly as she looked away from him. He lightly pulled her head back to look at him as he gave a wicked smile as he leaned in to whisper in her ear, "you may be the daughter of Poseidon but your mine now" he whispered sending a shiver down her spine as they held eye contact. Pandora Nightgood wasn't like your normal demigod, having a mortal and immortal parent. No, she had a Nereid for a mother and Poseidon as her father. A story that has repeated throughout the centuries but nothing came of it until Pandora was born. He fled the first chance he got as he was reminded of the oath he had broken for the first time since the oath was made back at the end of World War 2. But like Pandora's box nothing stays a mistry for long. The now 17 year old has been at Camp Half Blood for 9 years as she tries to grapple with her powers she was given and struggles to find some sort of normality within her hectic life, but what happens when a boy named Percy Jackson stumbles into her life? She had pushed herself past her breaking point, and still continued on as if nothing was wrong. The demigod knew if she allowed herself time to take even a moment, her soul would physically crack in two. Now was not the time for weakness, if anything, she had to be stronger. She knew the other girls would mumble about her, but Icaria wouldn't listen to them. She refused to watch someone she loved fall at the hands of Thanatos again. If need be, she would offer herself to him in place. Yet, there was someone who noticed the young girl breaking apart. She could see the bags grow darker, and watched as Icaria began to eat less and less. It was the same someone who had saved Icaria all those years ago. And the goddess refused to watch that someone suffer any longer. The goddess, Artemis, stepped out of her tent in the early morning light. All of her girls were getting rest, taking the opportunity to relax with the very few days of peace they had left. All except one. In the distance, the goddess could hear the distinct sound of metal striking against wood. She took quiet steps, and watched Icaria Kane from a distance. The girl breathed heavily, her body slumped from exhaustion. "Icaria?" Artemis asked, stepping through the early morning fog. "Why do you cry?" The demigods body tightened, urging the tears to stop falling. She turned her body away from her goddess, clutching Hearth in her hands.

||HIGHEST RANK: #1 in KaneChronicles|| ||#20 in HeroesOfOlympus|| ||PJO Watty Award Winner|| This is a Percy Jackson/Kane Chronicles/Magnus Chase Fanfiction. Set after Blood of Olympus. A COMPLETED STORY What happens after the second war? Will things go back to the way they were? Or are our demigod heroes too broken to be fixed? What happens when the biggest force they've ever faced comes to Camp? Will they be able to survive with the help of the Egyptian & Norse Universes? This is mainly focused on the seven plus Nico. Here is an excerpt: "It's been one day since Gaea was defeated. I thought I'd feel some sort of a big weight being lifted off of my chest. But it was the exact opposite. I feel like this isn't the end, that something terrible is going to happen. As a daughter of Athena I guess it was in my blood to be overly suspicious. I didn't tell the rest of the six yet. Everyone was grieving for all the casualties; including Leo Valdez. I could barely hold onto the concept that our annoyingly funny Latino elf was gone. Phoebe, Naomi, Celyn were just at the beginning of the list of casualties. We got very lucky, since that list didn't stretch for long. I got lucky, I was still alive. Leo would still be alive if it weren't for the cut on my leg. That. Dam. Cut. I was the reason Gaea woke up in the first place. The guilt was eating me up alive." All characters belong to Rick Riordan.
