It's 5th year and Remus Lupin is beginning to fall in love with his best friend. His best friend, Sirius Black during an era when sexuality was presented as standard straight, and the hushed tones of possibly gay. The main problem is, Remus doesn't feel like either of those.

"Your name means Werewolf McWerewolf, did you know that?" That was the first thing that Sirius Black said to Remus Lupin. Sirius remembered that now. What an idiot! Sirius has always been an idiot. Remus John Lupin had put his world upside down from the very beginning. Sirius had never met anyone like him. Remus pushed Sirius to the limit. Remus made Sirius really angry but really happy in a second. Remus with his big sweaters and weird obsession with David Bowie and chocolate smell. His stupid little curls, his tiny freckles resembling a night sky on his freaking body. The scars. The way Remus could say the most harmful thing looking so adorable with his reading glasses and a book on his hand. How lucky Sirius had been and how stupid he had been to not realize it sooner. Sirius had been a complete asshole and this was his punishment. Gracious God. His mother was right, Sirius was born deficient, and this was the proof. Oh Lord. Oh, Frederic Mercury and all the Queens. Oh, Star Dog in the sky. Sirius Orion Black was in love with Werewolf McWerewolf, completely and over heels in love. And now it was too late. Wolfstar Muggle AU. Based on the movie Life as We Know It. James and Lily die and leave their baby Harry in charge of Sirius and Remus. Fluff and light comedy. Lots of flashbacks with Jily so don't worry, very little Angst.

People have mixed feelings about the famous Maruders. Peter was a traitor, and not worthy of their friendship, yet was a calming influence to his lively friends. Remus was boring at times, yet was outstandingly smart, and kind. Sirius was cool as a cucumber, but was haughty and constantly sarcastic. James was funny and popular, however he bullied people, and showwed off a lot. People are starting to notice these flaws, and the very group is splitting down the middle, and unless they learn to change, the famous Marauders may not go down in history as the best friendship group at Hogwarts after all.
