A few days ago Chichi manipulated Goku into thinking her cheating on him is just experimenting and goku started to lose feelings for her a little while later. While bulma and vegeta have been getting distant ever since vegeta kept bugging her to make a room for him a couple days ago.. He needed to surpass the said Kakarot if he wished to regain control of his destiny and most importantly of his revenge. There was no other option than to defeat the one who defeated his ultimate enemy and to make his ancestors proud. He needed to train harder so as to achieve the legendary transformation of his race and beat Kakarot and obtain his satisfaction. This was his ultimate goal. The only reason that kept him alive; his pride as a royalty of saiyajin. When he was offered an opportunity to live with the genius family of a certain woman who had help create a bizarre machine that would enhance the capabilities of a saiyan through gravity, he seized the occasion to progress deeper in his training and once he was done, he'll beat Kakarot and rule the world. Of course, he knew no one on earth liked him. But it didn't matter.

Having a family before arriving on Earth, Vegeta's proof is in the form of a girl who has half of his personality and half of her mother's.
