Frank and his daughter's boyfriend Gerard get along well. Maybe too much. Among being a good husband and a perfect dad, Frank forgets to be himself. With Gerard, he is able to figure out who he was supposed to be all along and finds out he can be much happier as his true self. Now he only needs to figure out how to be happy while hurting his daughter behind her back.

Shortly before losing his father to cancer, Frank develops a change of heart and becomes a caregiver. Getting sick of working many dead-end and crummy jobs at nursing homes, he takes up in-home care, where he meets Gerard, an old friend from high school. Diagnosed with a terrible illness that is soon to claim his life, Gerard has a very negative outlook on life, feeling both worthless and beyond help. But, will any of that change when his old high school friend, and now caregiver, comes back into his life? (Kudos to momiji_neyuki for collaborating with me on this fic!)

The police reckoned that moving away, to rural New Jersey with his grandparents would help him cope with the loss, but even Frank knew that they couldn't be more than wrong, because despite the dull sleepy atmosphere of the town, there was something unidentifiable yet impossibly unnerving about the place, and really, perhaps was safer in his parents home than he ever was here. And there's something physically wrong too - a figure that lurks in the smoke, fog, and shadows - a silhouette the deepest black he'd ever seen, the kind that brought an unsettling feeling to Frank's stomach, and really Frank's wasn't one to be overly twitchy about things like this, but from the moment he first met him, he could never shake the feeling that the figure was always following him. Most of the time, you have no idea what people are going through. You purely Base your judgement on how that person acts or how they look like. You don't notice what is happening in their personal life. Frank Iero is a victim of this. He bases his final judgements on just how people look. Though, he has a realisation. When he falls deeply in love with the school's literal demon. Gerard Way. Even though he acts tough and strong on the outside, he has a medical problem that could possibly kill him. No one knows except his divorced mother and his brother. So when he spills his heart out to Frank, he just hopes that he'll take it the right way.

After the death of someone truly important to him, Gerard is left lonely and depressed, wondering whether or not it's worth it to keep living. One day however, Gerard meets Frank, who happens to fall out of a tree while Gerard is walking to school and nearly crushes him. The two get along quite well, even though their personalities are practically exact opposites. As time passes by, Frank begins to learn more about Gerard and what he's going through, but will he be able to save him in time? *Warning: Contains mentions of suicide*

Frank is special. He has a gift that makes his life quite interesting. His abilities make his life hard and meeting a handsome man with one of the most dangerous jobs only makes it that much harder. Frank and Gerard are forced to go to camp, bumping into each other at an unfortunate time. Gerard is kind of secretive, though Frank plans to figure him out. As they become friends, Frank has a spark of feelings. Will Gerard return this feeling? (Happy ending)

Frank and Gerard have been together for 4 years now. Frank wants to go farther with him, but he knows Gerard isn't ready. Gerard has been really depressed lately and has been keeping things to himself. He hardly speaks, he doesn't sleep, he has to be forced to eat. Gerard's thoughts are getting in the way of everything and he feels like he's loosing the battle with himself. Frank is determined to help his lover, whether Gerard wants him to or not.
