One strange morning, thirteen-year-old Eleanor Williams wakes up in the back of a truck, with her eyes blindfolded and her hands tied. She doesn’t remember anything about how she got to where she is, only a strange sensation she discovered just moments before. Music. Eleanor and her younger sister, Luella, live in the very distant future, a future much like our present. However, in this future, there is no sound. There are no voices. There is no music. And now, Eleanor has re-discovered it. It is up to her to find out what this music is, where it came from, why it disappeared. Sitting in the back of a stolen truck with nothing to do but think, it doesn’t take Eleanor long to realize that this music has a message. How long will it take her to find that this is one message that needs to be heard, and she can’t spread it if she doesn’t escape?
