Frank is a newcomer in a quiet, sleepy town, trying to escape his past. It's dull and boring until the arrival of a newcomer that could be the making or breaking of him. Gerard has demons of his own and is shipped off to his Uncle's place in the ass end of nowhere to sort himself out. He can't imagine anything worse until he stumbles upon a punk kid who seems to have secrets of his own. Frank is determined to keep himself to himself, but Gerard is an annoying, nosy, pain in the ass, who, for some reason, Frank can't seem to get enough of. Will he eventually let Gerard into his life, and will it be all plain sailing for the two if he does? "I'm prepared to take that risk Frank" Gerard said quietly. "I'd risk it for you."

Frank has a secret. No one can know about it. Once he thought he could tell his parents. They would love him unconditionally, right? Well... They didn't. They told Frank to shut his mouth and that he wasn't allowed to talk about his secret ever again. They told him that as soon as he turned eighteen, they'd throw him out of the house. So Frank kept his secret. But he hated his life like this... He slowly turned into a quiet boy without interests. A boy who wouldn't talk unless it was neccesary. But then gets new neighbours. They have two sons. Gerard and Mikey Way. They break down Frank's wall and become friends. But Frank starts to feel something for the eldest brother. When he discovers that Gerard likes him back, he has to make a decision. Should he tell Gerard... that he actually wants to be a girl?

Highschool is a living hell. At least that's Gerard's opinion because he can't pass the hallways without being shoved against lockers or called a "fag". God, how Gerard hated this word. In his last year of school, he decides to take a risk and starts a school project in which he wants to find out why all of his teachers and classmates hate homosexual people so much. For his project "homophobia is gay" he interviews a few people but decides that this won't be enough. What if he could introduce one of them to his world and show them that it's not bad to be gay? And what if this person was Frank Iero, the guy who has a list of girls he slept with right under his mattress at home, and an abhorrence against the red-headed boy? *Warnings*: bad language, homophobia, smut, abuse

Looking back, I can't even fully understand how this all happened. We used to have everything. A normal life, a normal school, a normal house. We used to be so innocent and naive, but now we're not. Now, we have nothing. We have nowhere left to go yet we've never been happier. How messed up is that? But more important: how messed up are we? "Listen to me, Frankie" He says, gently lifting my chin with his index finger. "I just wanted you to know that... no matter what happens from now on, you'll never fight alone. Okay? I won't let you" I sit up. "But why are you doing this? Why do you care so much?" I ask. "Because you're the only beautiful thing left in the world" He says, concern filling his eyes. After the death of someone truly important to him, Gerard is left lonely and depressed, wondering whether or not it's worth it to keep living. One day however, Gerard meets Frank, who happens to fall out of a tree while Gerard is walking to school and nearly crushes him. The two get along quite well, even though their personalities are practically exact opposites. As time passes by, Frank begins to learn more about Gerard and what he's going through, but will he be able to save him in time? *Warning: Contains mentions of suicide*

Frank is a good, God-fearing Catholic boy, and then Gerard happens. Gerard is the most interesting person he's ever met, arriving in Frank's small town with late nights and illicit booze and odd, disturbing nightmares trailing in his wake, and before long, Frank finds himself questioning the things he thought he knew.

Parents that act like their part of the fucking WBC... A flaming homosexual son... This is going to work out great. (The story will be better than the intro, I swear!!) Gerard's parents are religious, they value their beliefs above their sons. But Gerard doesn't believe in such things. Gerard was different than all the other people his age. He always had been. No one seemed to understand his strange ways, except for his brother, Mikey. Mikey was the only person Gerard gave a shit about, in fact, he truly loved his brother. Without his brother, Gerard would be alone. Oh yeah, did I mention Gerard was gay? When Gerard's parents found out, days later, there was one less member in the Way household. The night he was disowned, started as any ordinary day, and ended in silence. Gerard was kicked out of the home, with nothing but the clothes he was wearing, and whatever was in his pockets. As he stepped out the door, he took one final look at his brother. Mikey's facial expression was somewhat emotionless, but his eyes flooded with tears. That final fucking glance, it would haunt them forever... The area fell into panic, the press labelling the serial killer as 'America's Ripper'. The second crazy thing was less of a thing, and more of a person. Gerard Way. An abnormally charming, strangly confident outcast that made it his duty to befriend Frank. But Frank has never met anyone like Gerard, and he starts to fall for him. Together, the two of them must face the menace that haunts the neighborhood, and find out if their relationship will break or hold strong. Gerard's a mess. He smokes and drinks, and he's a miserable piece of shit. He could never find a job and never had much friends. Though when Mikey called him one day, he offered Gerard a job at the All Boys Christian private school just a few blocks downtown. When he goes to work each week, a student in particular starts getting on his soft side even though their love is illegal. WARNING: there is a lot of mentions of drugs, smoking, alcohol and things of that sort in this story, along with religion and offensive comments about Christianity (and I don't hate the religion FYI) If this triggers you in some way then DO NOT read this story.

Frank and his daughter's boyfriend Gerard get along well. Maybe too much. Among being a good husband and a perfect dad, Frank forgets to be himself. With Gerard, he is able to figure out who he was supposed to be all along and finds out he can be much happier as his true self. Now he only needs to figure out how to be happy while hurting his daughter behind her back.
