My jaw drops open, and all I can do is stare in revulsion at him. This wasn't happening. It couldn't be. My brain tells me I have two choices right now, run, or say something to him. But what was I gonna say? No thanks? Polite pass? I literally have no words for the cruel joke the Moon Goddess has played on me. What could I have possibly done to deserve this? Those people said they would find me no matter where I ran to, I couldn't put my mate or his pack in danger. My wolf whimpered knowing it was the truth. "Kitten," my mate purred, before he growled, "mine!" softly as he let go of my arm and lightly touched my cheek, now I felt the sparks firing on my skin. 'Kitten? Was this guy for real?!
