According to legend, kelpies are aquatic horses. They wander along the riverbank and trick humans into riding them. After giving the unfortunate mortal a terrifying ride, the kelpie will drown them in the river and eat them. Alicia Deltroy is one of these aquatic horses, but she's different from other kelpies. She's managed to lead a normal life that begins to fall apart after her parents are brutally murdered. However, when four gorgeous boys come to school, they begin to break down the barriers she's set around her heart since the death of her parents. Only one problem: The boys are hunters, elite humans who track down and kill dangerous magical creatures. And just when things begin to settle down, she finds a baby unicorn whose herd has been massacred by werewolves. Slowly, she finds that life is far more complicated than it seems, and that just when you think all is well, death is right around the corner.

Sabo is a rare semi-unicorn with the blood of one of the most hated and misunderstood species of the world in his veins. The fearsome kelpie. Ever since he was young, he was forced to hide away his kelpie traits from the kelpie-hating unicorns for his own safety. Having survived the tragedy which befell his kind thanks to his mother's sacrifice, he has lost his purpose and is now all alone in the world. But the danger isn't gone yet, for the new moon has risen. Upon learning what happened to his kind and realizing that no one is safe, Sabo will have no choice but to face his past and accept every part of him, or it won't just be the unicorns facing extinction. Follow one of the last unicorns in his journey of self-discovery and to find a place to belong, meeting many colorful characters along the way and learning that not everything is as black-and-white as he has always believed. "Unicorns fear no demons, nor any evil. We hunt them. And kill them. It's just what they are... they won't look past my stripes. They would just see a demon, a freak of nature who must be killed. I know what I am... and where I would stand with my clan. There is no place for me anywhere." - Sabo, Chapter 6 'Honor The Moon and Say Goodbye' ~~~ Copyright 2024 (C) anvraptor All rights reserved Credits for the world go to @the-childofflames and their amazing web comic 'Water Demons' (found on WEBTOON) - this is a story featuring my own characters and set in a different timeline.
