Star and Marco Learn that a former member of the Magic High Commission is trying to escape his prison in the Nightmare Realm. They arrive only to find out they are too late and that Bill Cypher has managed to free himself. Can they join forces with the local rebellion and put and end to his madness, or will the Earth fall into madness?

Following the events of the Star vs finale "Cleaved," Star and Marco adjust to their new world and begin contemplating the next step of their relationship and their lives. When Star's best friend Marco is kidnapped and kept prisoner by Toffee to use against her, she must deside where her loyalties truely lie when he faces danger and injury.
