This is a prequel to The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. It's from Johnny's point of view, instead of Ponyboy, and isn't pertinent that you read The Outsiders (but you definitely should if you can!) My school produces a magazine called Reflections, which is made up of only student work. Art work, essays, short stories, poems, or photos. My English teacher required us to submit either a short story, poem, or essay, and this is the short story I wrote for the magazine. But here's the thing about it: I really want it to turn out good, and I'm not sure that I did very well... So, whether or not you've read The Outsiders, please give me your opinion on this story! It's been 7 years since Dipper and Mabel Pines' first summer in Gravity Falls. They both agreed to move there after high school. While they stay in their favorite little town, they attend college in Portland where they are reunited with their summertime friends including Wendy, Candy, Grenda, and Pacifica. Dipper's old friendship with Pacifica sparks up a new relationship...but one with more....romance. They have now been dating for many months and Dipper earned enough money for a very special night. It seems that their lives are getting better, but once-defeated foes are resurfacing as well as new ones. Will the Pines and Gravity Falls be able to stop them? Or will the world finally face the nightmares kept at bay in that town?
