This story takes place 10 years after the events we all know from the Sonic series. All of Sonic's friends, including Sonic himself, know pain. Sonic knows the pain of failing to save someone. Tails knows what it is like to not meet his own expectations. But no-one knows pain like Shadow does. For years he has held his heartbreak and fear inside himself, but, when he finally starts to break, he needs someone there for him. And guess who steps up to the task? What if Eggman had never gone bad? What if the Sonic group had never fully meet? In this universe, Dr. Robotnik created inventions to make everyday like more enjoyable allowing for cities to blossom. Miles 'Tails' Power joins Robotnik in his creations at a young age of 16. Knuckles joined G.U.N. in oder for the Master Emerald and Chaos Emeralds to be better guarded. Rouge the Bat runs a jewlry shop but has so much free time as the owner that she joins G.U.N. for the enjoyable action she so desires. What of Sonic? He became a lead singer. Sonic and Shadow creating the Panic of Chaos. They jumped from city to city with their performances. Sonic. flirting with all his fans happily as they went. Shadow, ever so aggregated by the blue hedgehog leaves to stumble upon a pink hedgehog singing her heart out to one of their songs on a roof top of a restaurant. Amy Rose has caught the black and red hedgehog's intrest but will Sonic out foot him in the race for her attenion?

When Shadow gets injured from one of his and Sonic's infamous fights and is left bed bound, Sonic feels pure guilt and goes to apologise to him. Sonic just can't help but stay away from Shadow and visits become more regular, their bond gets closer and feelings become more clear between the two... ⚠️ i wrote this story when i was a new fan of the Sonic franchise, story doesn't really make sense as Shadow should be able to heal but lets just ignore that🥰

Sonic and his friends find themselves grappling with the challenges of adulthood. With Dr. Eggman's threats diminishing, Sonic searches for a new purpose amidst the burden of always being the world's saviour. Tails, now Dr. Prower, gains commodity as a community doctor, all while delving into life creation experiments, aiding Knuckles and Rouge in conceiving the first ever interspecies mobian. Shadow, in his quest to further explore his purpose as The Ultimate Lifeform, seeks Tail's assistance in harnessing his DNA, to cure all disease, starting with NIDS. Amy, feeling the pressure of time, ends her relationship with Sonic, despite their mutual feelings for one another, as he's simply not ready to settle down and commit. Following Rouge's suggestion, Amy turns to Tails for help with her fertility concerns, however, an unexpected incident alters her plans, leading to the emergence of a groundbreaking discovery. This is The New Wave Ultimate Lifeform.

After sixteen years, Mephiles has returned. Darker and more power hungry...after failing to defeat and kill Shadow, Sonic and the rest of the gang, he Is going to make sure he gets what he wants this time, by using the power of the chaos emeralds,He infects Shadow with a rabies like disease, called Muskiomal which makes Shadow a ruthless cannabalsitic killer at nightfall. Not only does Mephiles turn Shadow into a killer hedgehog, he forces him to take out revenge on not only on on Mobians but the entire universe as well. But only Amy Rose is aware of Shadow's illness after witnessing Shadow consuming human and Mobian remains behind a restaurant dumpster. Amy vows to keep Shadow's condition a secret not only for the safety of Sonic and the gang but for the universe...but if G.U.N finds out the ultimate life form and their top agent as dangerous... it could result in him being held captive, being detained against his will and experimented on as long as possible. Despite the life threatening situation, Shadow and Amy's connection grows closer and closer which ultimately leads to them having an affair which eventually leads them to being together, much to the disdain of not only Sonic, but to the entire group, unfortunately, it later becomes a weakness which will give Mephiles a possible one up against the team Will Amy and the rest of the crew find a cure for Shadow's condition or will he forever be Mephiles' murderous puppet?
