On the isolated island of Riem, where the winged avian people have thrived for centuries, Aria finds her life shattered when she is accused of a brutal murder she didn't commit.

Banished from her home, she meets a ship captain named Finnian, Alannah, a clever innkeeper, and Vex a sharp-tongued tinkering dwarf. Drawn together by their shared need for the truth, Aria gathers her new circle of friends to embark on a dangerous quest to find the hidden city of Glasmere.

But as they dive deeper into mystery, they uncover a web of deception that threatens to unravel the very fabric of avian society. With powerful enemies on their trail and the fate of Riem hanging in the balance, Aria must learn to navigate a strange new world, forge unexpected alliances, and unlock the secrets of her own magic before it's too late.

Set in a vividly colorful new universe where magic and machinery intertwine, Feathers to Fire is a fantasy debut that explores the power of truth, the price of secrets, and the courage to forge your own path. Perfect for fans of Sarah J. Maas and Holly Black, this page-turning fantasy/romance will leave readers breathless as they follow Aria's race to uncover the truth and save her home.

This story follows the perspectives of multiple different characters. Each chapter will be a different character. Just a warning for the change of POVs. They will all be in first person as well. Angels are from a world they call Alzeria. Inside said world there are 7 types of Angels for each of the elements. Earth, Sky, Storm, Water, Ice, Fire, and Shadow. But inside this world there is a dark and mysterious eighth type of Angel. The Hollows. An almost zombie-like race in the north-east of Alzeria. This is where our story begins. Sky's father, Hermes, went missing a year ago in the Hollow territory. He hasn't been seen since. After the accident, Sky and her best friend Hibiscus, an Earth Angel, were sent with her family to Earth to begin her training and to let the family recover. While on Earth, traces of Hollows become more and more prominant. What are they planning? The next perspective follows the Fire Angel Princess Ashfire, known for her fiery personality and her excellent swordplay. But with shining complements come dark rumors. See, the Royal Family of the Fire Kingdom are known for their golden wings, but Ashfire was born with gold wings with blood red feathers dotting its surface. Ashfire also has a few secrets of her own that could place her and her disfunctional family at risk in the war waging between the Fire Kingdom and the Shadow Kingdom. What will become of her Kingdom? Andromeda is a training Water Mage in the Water Kingdom, trying to recover from past trauma that caused her father's death and an injury to her left arm. Why would she ever be dragged into a war she didn't start? Blitz and her family are known for their powerful Ice Magic that surpasses all other families in the Ice Kingdom. Her parents are strict and after an adventure into the Earth Kingdom, Blitz is trapped in her home. But why would her family want to be so succluded from the outside world? Defying Destiny

32 parts Complete

The past can be a dangerous thing. Especially when it's a dark, deadly place that no one would ever try to enter. No one would ever want to enter. Not unless they had to. For the past two years, Ariane has been trying to lead a normal life. Owning a small bookshop, and currently living in Crostia--a bustling kingdom--with a new name, she is doing her best to pass herself off as normal. But when the Prince Of Crostia comes to her, demanding for her to take him to an enemy powerful beyond imagination--who is at fault for the destruction of a kingdom, she finds the past is coming back faster than she intended. Now, off on a journey with the Prince, who wants her dead, but just doesn't know it yet, Ariane must find a way to survive and make it out alive. But what's to happen when feelings come to play? When people get too attached, and both sides of the story are seen? Will there be mercy? Or will it be Ariane's downfall? One must learn, when people play with lightning, they're bound to be consequences. Book #1 in the Defying Destiny series
