Grace and Colton have known each other forever.
Living in houses right beside the other, in a small quaint town in West Virginia, they went to school together, birthday partys together, vacations together, and apparently, even family reunions together.
It's summer break, the last summer they have before they go to University. When Grace and her mother get invited to a family reunion from a distant cousin, they accept.
As Grace is packing her bags for the summer long trip to the country-side in Alabama, her mother tells her that she invited Colton and his mom to come along for the trip, since it's their last summer together. What will happen when they have to stay in the same cabin as each other? Will they maybe become more than "just friends"?

He looks down at me, as i look up. Our eyes meet, and a chill runs up my spine, making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. He tilts my chin up, and moves his head so that his lips are brushing my ear as he says, "You've got a little something on your lips, darling."
My breathing hitches from our proximity, from his words.
"Do I?" I manage to breathe out.
He nods slowly, and then inches closer to my face. By now, we are only a few centimeters apart. His sweet honey eyes look from my eyes to my lips, and back to my eyes.
"Wh-What's on my-" I stutter out as i move my hand up to touch my lips.
Before i can finish my sentence, he grabs my wrist, and places my hand on the side of his neck.
"Only the most beautiful shade of pink I've ever seen."

I take a step closer to him, slowly dragging my finger up and down his chest, and stare up innocently at him. His stare is so intense, and as if he knew what I was trying to do, his eyes narrowed down at me. "You know...you smell nice," I start off, smiling and staring deep into his beautiful eyes that capture my gaze. His lips curl upwards, "Do I now?" I nod slowly, still smiling, and respond, "Yeah...But I smell something else too." One of his eyebrows lifts up, "Yeah? What is it?" I smirk, "I smell a little bit... of a prick too." His smile drops as he glares down at me. I remove my finger just as the bell rings, and I walk backwards, "Bye, see you later, Woods." I wink and turn around, walking away feeling victorious. β—‡β—‡β—‡ A classic 2 childhood best friends story. She looks up at me, taking a step forward and smiling slightly, "How can I ever get hurt when I have you here to protect me?" "But you could have gotten hurt," I murmur softly, hanging my head and feeling my shoulders drop, the tension seeping from my body. "No. Stop," She cuts me off sternly but tenderly, "Don't talk like that, Reece. I'm okay, you're okay, we're okay," She speaks softly, reaching her hand up to gently brush her thumb over my cheek, just under the cut that's there. "We're okay," I repeat, taking a small step closer to her. She nods with a small smile, moving her hand down from my cheek and instead placing the palm of her hand on my chest, right over my heart. I know she can feel how fast my heart is beating. I just don't know why it's doing that. ~ Reece Carter is the bad boy of Northwood High. He smokes and he fights. Being in love with your best friend isn't the ideal life situation but for Zora, it's her only life situation. Secretly harboring her feelings for her best friend, Sierra, Zora pours her emotions into her journal in the form of poetry. After years of keeping her attraction for her friend at bay and trying to deny her feelings by forcing herself to love a boy who unconditionally loves her, Zora's favorite emotional outlet becomes the cause of her life falling apart as the truth finally comes out. ***** It was happening again. It was dark, sunset, I waited for her to be done with volleyball practice 'because she was my ride'. Somehow we wandered from the gym to the football field and we were sitting at the very top of the bleachers staring at each other. Her dark hair mirrored the direction of the wind, the setting sun being replaced by the brightness of her smile. We were sitting so close I could feel her warmth. It was an unusual situation. Friends don't do this. We held eye contact for a long time before I couldn't take it anymore and just closed my eyes. It wasn't real, she was just my friend. Then, I felt her tuck a strand of my curly hair behind my ear. That with the chill of the night sent shivers down my spine and a swarm of butterflies attacked my stomach. I reopened my eyes. If she didn't want me, why did she look at me that way? I held her hand and I held it for so long because I didn't know if we'd have another moment like this. We talk and laugh and she tells me I'm pretty and I ask her if she'd just noticed that and we laugh again. I realize the feelings I felt in that moment were not just the intense feelings of attraction that I felt every time I was with her. Warmth flooded to my face and if it wasn't for my dark complexion, my blush would be noticeable. I look into her dark-colored eyes and I come to the conclusion that I'm royally fucked and I'm probably also in love.

And he's driving Lauren insane. ****** Excerpt from That Summer "Well I'm surprised," he drawled huskily, playing with a strand of my hair. "You acted like a natural last night." Oh. My. God. What did that even mean? He chuckled at my deer-in-headlights expression. There was no way I would not remember losing my virginity to Jake. Hell, I'd memorize every second of it. "What do you mean?" I asked slowly, my stomach doing somersaults. Please tell me I'm jumping to the wrong conclusion. Pretty please. "Well," he started, a gleam in his eyes. "First, you grabbed the blanket and ripped it right off of me." I blinked at him, a horrified expression on my face. I slapped his hand away from my hair and turned around. Yup, there it was. Lying on the floor, along with my dignity. He continued solemnly. "And then, you climbed up on top of me." Could you die from your face overheating? I waited for my embarrassment to be complete as he tapped his chin, thoughtfully. "Yeah, that's about it." That's it? THAT'S IT? So I hadn't completely thrown myself at him. Just a tad. And the prize for the unluckiest luckiest horndog of the year goes to Lauren Can't Keep Her Hands To Herself Jules. I grabbed the pillow and smacked him over the head with it. Hard.

"You just have no idea." His voice was thick with restraint. "W-what," I breathed. His gaze flicked to my lips as his thumb stroked again. The calloused pad against my soft flesh sent goosebumps down my arms. His once warm eyes were dark as they lifted and bared into my soul. "What you do to... men." His husky whisper weakened my knees. I almost fell but his other hand settled on my hip, pulling me closer to him. "What you do to me," he added on a breath. The hand on my jaw shifted. His fingers left trails of tingles as he slipped them back slowly, under my earlobe and into my curls. *************************************************** As a young girl, Charlotte Avery's favourite pass time was daydreaming about her Prince Charming: Archer Johnson. You all must have seen movies and read books about Love triangles. But this is not a triangle, It's a Rec-tangled. Lexi Wolf, Queen Bee of Pinewood High, stuck in a twisted rectangle of love, full of confusion, humor, silliness, pretense, jealousy, and heartbreaks. * * * * * "Stay with me, Lexi." He tucked my hair behind my ear. I wasn't the drunk one here, but the way he gazed at me with his deep eyes was enough to make me. I blinked my eyes at him and shook my head, trying to clear the fog in it. The fact that I was laying over him, with our chest pressed together and his hand on my waist wasn't helping either. "I-I... I don't think that's a good idea," I whispered, finally getting my voice back. "Why?" He looked at me intensely. "Is it because of your boyfriend?" "No." "Then what's the problem?" His thumb lightly creased my back from where my top had gotten up, making me quiver. "Why can't you stay?" "I..." "Don't you trust me, Lexi?" "Of course I do, I just..." I moved a little to get off him, but in a swift motion, he flipped us on the bed with him on the top this time. Gasping in surprise, my eyes grew big and I put my hands on his strong biceps. He put his forearm on either side of my face, leaning on them. I rubbed my thighs together which were between his legs. I was trapped between him and the bed. My breath hitched as he leaned in until our noses touched. "You just what?" My entire body heated as I felt his muscular chest pressed against mine. I bit my lip and tried to control my stupid hormones, but it made it worse when Noah's gaze went to my lips. I saw his Adam's apple bob as he continued to stare at my lips. My throat felt dry and my eyes darted to his. He stuck his tongue out and licked his lower lip. OMG, I'm in deep trouble! * * * * * Editing.
