"He pulled her closer, his breath warm against her ear, 'We'll share many firsts together,' he whispered, sending shivers down her spine."

[OCxJACE] [OCxAEMOND] [ADULT RATING as story progresses]

Visenya Targaryen, fourth child of Alicent Hightower, entered the world on a stormy night that seemed to echo the fierce spirit she would one day embody. The winds howled around the Red Keep, lightning split the sky, and rain hammered against the castle walls as if the gods themselves marked her arrival. The midwives whispered that such a birth heralded greatness-or calamity.

The storm that had marked her birth seemed a fitting metaphor for her life. Visenya Targaryen, born in the midst of chaos, would rise to meet the tempest that loomed over her family and her realm. She was a dragon, after all, and dragons were meant to soar.

"The dream...it was clearer than a memory. And I heard the sound of thundering hooves, splintering shields and ringing swords. And I placed my heir upon the Iron Throne, and all the dragons roared as one." ~ King Viserys Targaryen "If I'm to choose between one evil and another, then I prefer not to choose at all. But when I say 'I love you', it's not because I want you or because I can't have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I've seen your kindness and your strength. I've seen the best and worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You're a hell of a woman. You're the one, Alicent. ~ Geralt Targaryen "Brother, if you're named heir and I your Princess Consort, your claim would not be so easily challenged. The Velaryons are of the sea. But you and I are made of fire We have always been meant to burn together." ~ Rheanyra Targaryen "Where is duty? Where is sacrifice? It's trampled under your pretty foot again." ~ Alicent Hightower "Think for yourself. It'll save you a lifetime of heartbreak." ~ Yennefer Martell "Dreams didn't make us kings. Dragons did." ~Daemon Targaryen The Dragon's Heart Is Mine tells the tale of two best friends torn apart by men in their lives. It also includes their political alliances and especially the civil war between the Greens and Blacks. The war between two siblings, torn between marriage and love, however, their history forms the core of House of The Dragon. Viserys' choice for Geralt to marry Alicent Hightower and Daemon's attraction to Rhaenyra instigated most of the events that shaped their lives forever. Every character's ideas of marital unions and love are vastly different from each other, giving rise to insightful and memorable impact, thereby causing a division of civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons. The heart of a Targaryen was said to be one dipped in fire and blood. They ruled the skies with their dragons, danced through the flames of death and controlled the direction of the wind. All from an Iron throne. Rhaella Targaryen was the youngest daughter of King Viserys and Queen consort Alicent Hightower. She was cunning and calculating, knowing how to slither her way out of the situations she often found herself in. Visions and prophecies were both a curse and a blessing for the princess, and when the dragons began to dance she used them as motive for every action and sin she committed.
