Alexis Anderson always thought she could spot a love story from a mile away-until she met Kim Clarke Garnette, the living, breathing contradiction to every romantic notion Alexis held dear. Kim was all sharp wit and blazing fire, the kind of person who could argue circles around you and leave you strangely exhilarated in the aftermath. They didn't start with fireworks; they started with battle lines, their clashing ambitions leaving behind bruises, grudging respect, and something dangerously close to fascination.
But love has a funny way of blooming in the unlikeliest of places. Somewhere between the heated debates and stolen glances, Alexis and Kim found themselves caught in a whirlwind of emotion, their affection delicate yet undeniable. It could've been their story-the one people tell at weddings, the one that ends with happily ever after.
Until-it wasn't.
A cruel twist of fate ripped through their fragile world, leaving Alexis standing in the wreckage of what could have been. Now, with her heart still tethered to a love she once swore was a mistake, Alexis faces the ultimate choice: accept the reality that tore them apart, or defy reason, risk everything, and fight for the person who taught her what it truly means to love.
This isn't just a love story. It's a journey of resilience, of hearts refusing to be silenced, and the scars left by a connection so profound it reshapes everything it touches.

"Alex ..." I almost did not recognize my own voice which had dropped by a few octaves becoming hoarse and sensual.
"Shhhh" she sighs. "Please Elianna don't move. Just let me savor this little moment, you don't have to do anything, you don't even have to talk. Just stay still, please" she begs me with a whisper, her voice as hoarse as mine, if not more.
I sigh with contentment and allow my body and soul to benefit from this little exchange of body heat. I felt her lips rest gently on my cheek then in the hollow of my neck where she noisily Inhales my scent. One of her hands was placed on my waist while the other was drawing small invisible circles on my thigh.
"What have you done to me Elianna? What it is that I find so irresistible about you?"
"Stop talking shit, I should be the one asking you this question" I turn to her, angry for letting a 17 year old girl touch me in a way only my husband should be allowed to.
All the anger disappears when I look into her pretty eyes, which are a little darker shade than usual.
