Guardians of the Light (Book 1: Rebirth) by Kat_Penney
19 parts Complete
Many centuries ago, an unspoken darkness swept across the land taking all that was light and pure in the world with it. Creatures of this darkness roamed free to spread the darkness wherever they went consuming any trace of light remaining. In order to stop The Darkness from controlling the world, a group of priests took the remaining pieces of light and placed them within the body of two chosen children. They became known as the Children of the Light. Their sacrifice was not in vain, leaving behind spoken words for the next generation of children born with the pure light energy within them. Over time an organisation built on these words was formed called The Guardians, who were tasked to seek out the next chosen children and protect them from The Darkness should it rise again. Centuries have come and gone as the battle between the light and the darkness still rages on, unaware of the human race that creatures live among them and that a battle between them and the guardians has gone on for many years. Present day we find ourselves in a small city named New Haeven that has become the centre of the secret world of light and dark. The current story follows a Guardian by the name of Ronin. Ronin saw the faces of the new Children of the Light and was tasked by the Elders to track them down and protect them at all costs. The children were both college students and were one male and one female whose names were James Hillman and Sara Danvers..When Ronin went to see he ran into a ghost from his past, Lillian. The story continues on with Ronin seeking answers from the Elders about how a Guardian could come back from the dead.

The Masters are gathered, and the students have shown their skills, but the training has barely begun. Natalia waits for the new life growing in her body and her soul. She has made her choice, but it will not be the last one. In the safety of the Master's Vale, the complexity of the real world can be forgotten, especially during the rigors of training. But outside of the Vale, forces continue to move towards war. Lukas waits outside the Vale, trying not to become jealous of the life Natalia and Raja are building together. His purpose is clear, he must save the Kingdom from downfall, the Queen must not win this ground. But his reasons for fighting are beginning to blur and forces around him seek to shift his focus. Who is his true enemy? Raja should be happy. He has two bondmates, growing magic, and an offspring he had never anticipated. But everything feels like it is balanced on a knife's edge and his Tribe calls to him. What will tip the scale? The intrigues of the Masters and the Queen become ever more complex, weaving a web over the three. As more people enter their lives, the tangles and snares multiply. 21 parts Complete

Two hundred years of peace have passed in Zertima, a land filled with magic, creatures, and mages. However, after those two hundred years comes an era of fear, fighting, and death. The Venom's Curse, known as the world's greatest danger, has climbed up to reach a level of great power, with the help of his fierce hunger for battle and commanding, that is strong enough to possibly secure his rule of the entire mage world. In order to save Zertima from potential collapse and eternal perishing, four young mages are found, called the Elemental Mages. The Mages - Water, Earth, Fire, and Air - are taken to a sheltered location named the Mage Sanctuary to train together and prepare for their eventual battle with the Venom's Curse and to rid of the trepidation he has cast across all of Zertima. However, not all of the Mages are willing to commit their life to train with the others and help save the mage world. Ignacia, the Elemental Mage of Fire, is the newest and last mage to be Founded and come to the others.
