After the events of the Final Sequence, Sweeney Todd is left to wallow in the guilt of murdering his wife. Tobias had run off instead of killing Sweeney, so now the demon barber is doomed to continue living with the agonizing guilt that eats him alive. Turning to the bottle, Sweeney now becomes haunted by the ghosts of those he killed. He plans to end it all, but little does he know of someone in need of his help. Rose just escaped Judge Turpin's estate after he had not returned the previous night. She took her chance to leave and followed where Johanna and Anthony had spoken of going before eloping: Sweeney Todd's Tonsorial Parlor on Fleet Street. She had not met him before, but he was the only person she could turn to, and if the young lovers trusted him, then so did she. Can Rose trust this man? Can Sweeney trust this woman? How will they get along? Will Rose find out his dark secret? Will Sweeney be caught and hang for his crimes? What does Rose know about his daughter, Johanna? Who is Rose? Sweeney must hide his secret and fight through his grief to find out.
