They have to live mundane lives during their time there. Some get jobs in order to blend in and earn their keep. Little do they know a certain egg themed villain is attempting to find this world to conquer as well as defeat the heros hiding in plain sight. Will they stop him without being captured by the villains of this world? Or will the villain rise to the top, rendering the heros useless? Sonic spotted Shadow outside of the village one day. Curious, he decided to follow him to see what is up with the dark hedgehog. After finding out the reason why Shadow likes being alone in that one particular cave, he decided to stick around and company him. It makes Sonic realize that Shadow isn't really that evil and it also makes him grow closer to the dark hedgehog. SFW book.

Rouge, Knuckles, Amy, and Tails decided to explore in the creepy dark forest who was still standing all over the years. And Rouge invited Shadow to join with them. When they got there, they got lost and then saw a sillhoutte who was wearing a cloak in the dark, massive woods.
