Every Glader tried their best to forget she existed by letting her run away into the Deadheads, but a curious Thomas discovered her one day. And that day, everything changed. ~|Charge|~ Thomas "It's like my soul demands for you, for everything about you." Linnea's life before the Glade was almost worse than the Glade was, but she had one person that helped her cope. Thomas. Her best friend. The boy she was in love with. But one day, in the night, she was taken from him and was sent into the maze. There, she became the first glader. She wasn't a normal glader though, as more and more boys came up she realized their differences. They were all boys. But she remembered three things. She remembered never crying once in her life. She remembered her mother. And in dreams, she remembered a boy. Eventually, that boy gets sent up into the maze. Thomas. With his help, Linnea and the rest of the gladers try to find a way out. Into the unknown.

When Astrid is made a runner, she was forced to kill and save. After she survives the night in the maze, the Gladers argue over what should be done with her. Her fate ends up in the hands of Minho. Once the Creators demand something back from the Gladers, what happens? And what does it mean when she wakes up in a box for the second time? The majority of this book is Scorch Trials and Astrid's adventure without the boys.

"I am not," I said, tugging on the cards. My fingers tangled with his. He let them go. I distributed the cards among us, my hair swinging as I leaned forward to give them their share. I tucked it behind my ears. They watched me quietly. I could hear the party outside my room, a muffled shouting beat, but we were safe in my room.

She wakes up in a cage cold and confused. She refuses to show any weakness in this strange new place; she shoves everything down, deep down behind a mask of indifference snippy remarks and a few right hooks. She wont let these new and strange boys see her cry, she wont show them any signs of weakness. She can't, she's the only girl and she needs to be tough. It's the only way to survive this harsh new world she finds herself in. Being tough and ruthless catches the attention of one particular builder. He's not one for emotions either, especially in a place like the Glade. He knows something is off, and he does his absolute best to keep order around him and in him, when everything's falls apart. Are these two destined to be together? Or are they too similar in personalities? Are they too broken from their own traumas to work it out? Maybe she likes him. Kind of. Maybe he might like her. She probably hates him. He can't stand her. They don't want the other to know. But maybe they do...a little. Who has time for romance and feelings in a place like The Maze. Life. Romance. Yet he'd have to gain their trust and quickly, because when the horrible villain would find him, he would have to choose- go back to a life of bringing fear and terror? Or remain as an important guardian to the lost souls of the deceased?

Alice has three problems while at school. One, she has to deal with a boy that's teasing her. Two, she has to deal with a girl with bossy attitude. Three, she has to deal with a girl who would have a nasty attitude. Alice can't get home on the bus for a while. Her way home goes past an abandoned construction site. She has known somebody new while exploring the old area. It was the ghost of a construction worker. Ever since she met the ghost, bad things have been happening at the school. The three people who normally cause her problems are floating in mid air or getting hurt by the ghost that Alice met. Now Alice wants to get the ghost to stop. Will Alice convince the ghost to stop, or will he continue to hurt the students who are hurting her?
