Makinota was raised just outside the borders of the Northern Water Tribe for the first seven years of her life. When one day, her parents were killed and she was kidnapped by the Fire Nation. I know, its cliche. But being a mixed-blood bender in the current times, and after almost 100 years of war, all Fire Benders are considered monsters. Even the innocent ones.

Makinota is just trying to find her old life. Find her purpose. And most importantly, find who she can really trust. But in the end... aren't we all?

(Long chapters and irregular updates. Though, I do update and I will keep going. This book in entirely a fountain of unneeded inspiration I can't put anywhere else, and something I do when I get writers block on everything else. Still, thanks so much for reading!)

(UPDADE; I'm trying my hardest to figure this out, but until then it's complete and not going anywhere until I can handle my shit. Love y'all!)

{All characters and storylines belong to Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko, I only created Maki and the changes I made to fit her into the story.}

At the age of ten, she lost her mother in a Fire Nation raid, right at the South Pole; all she has left is her mother's necklace, which Katara wears around her neck. After that, her father left to fight in the Hundred Year War, along with all the other grown warriors, and Makki and her siblings were put under the care of their Gran Gran. She grew up practicing her bending and helping Katara with all the chores, while their brother practiced his fighting skills and tried teaching the younger boys of their village. (Y/N) is a young Earthbender and orphan who lives in Gaoling. He was dumped by his parents when he was a baby, and he was taken in by a kind old woman who ran an orphanage. He learned to use his bending to help her with the chores, and to protect himself and the other orphans from the bullies and bandits who roamed the streets. He had heard of the Avatar and his friends, who were fighting to end the hundred-year war and thought very highly of them and how cool it would be to join them on their journey. Earthbending came very Naturally to Y/n, and he soon discovered something both good and terrifying about his bending ability. Luckily for him, the avatar and his friends were coming to town; and the word was that the avatar needed an earthbending teacher; he knew just the right person for the job. ******** Koji is a Firebender and a soon-to-be lightning bender, born into the royal family of the Fire Nation. He grew up with his cousins Zuko and Azula, and their friends Ty Lee and Mai, but he always felt different from them. His father is General Iroh, the Dragon of the West. Fast forward to when Azula is sent on a mission to capture the Avatar and bring back Zuko and Iroh, she asks Koji to join her. Koji reluctantly agrees, knowing his father; but being the former heir to the throne, he longed to prove himself to his nation. However, as he travels with Azula and her team, he begins to question his loyalty and his destiny. He sees the suffering and injustice caused by the Fire Nation, and he meets people who challenge his beliefs and values, everything he was taught growing up. Will Koji follow Azula and the Fire Lord, or will he choose a different path? Will he find his true self, or will he lose everything he cares about?

This story takes place after the war has settled. Aang and Katara finally together, Zuko the firelord, Sokka being,...well Sokka, Toph happy and never to return home, and the nations were finally at peace. When team Avatar decides to return to the southern water tribe to visit Sokka and Katara's family, they end up bringing Zuko along, giving him a well deserved break of running the fire nation. However, feelings start to make themselves known. Feelings that Aang doesn't like, little does he know he ends up pushing Katara into the arms of the edgy firebender, which was the last thing he was trying to do. Will this new romantic relationship tear team Avatar apart? Will it make them stronger? Will Katara's new found heated relationship be accepted by her tribe? Can the group move past it, and continue on? Will Aang ever get over Katara and find someone new? Knowing it's never easy ridding the feeling of that first love. And one of the most importance will Zuko find his mother? On a different note Azula, the sister of the new firelord, has been in prison for quite some time, there is obviously no way of her being released on good behavior. She plans to escape and find Tai Lee and Mai and "ask" them once again to join her side and take her revenge on her brother Zuko, Katara, their friends, and the Avatar. And plans to overthrow and take over the fire nation, feeling that her father apparently wasn't strong enough to hold his place.
