Soleil Dubois was the sweetest person you could ever meet. Her name meant 'sun' in French and that was exactly what she was. Sunshine. But don't let that sweet personality fool you because she was sarcastic and had the mouth of a sailor. Cursed like one too. She was still grieving from the loss of her mother, along with her older brother, Lucas who wasn't doing too well either, but they had decided that some things were meant to let go of, and their mother's death was one of those things.

And in order for that to happen, they decided to sign up for an exchange program that would be happening in their rival school; NorthFields Academy. The school that most of their competitions were held against, but the biggest one was Football. Every semester, NorthFields Academy and SouthFields Academy played against eachother, and the one who got the most goals by the end of the year would win trophies, more fame and money.

That's when Elias Morano came in. He was the captain of the football team of NorthFields Academy and despised Lucas with all his heart. Their feelings were mutual for eachother, but for some reason, his eyes were always on Soleil, the one girl that hated him as well. The one girl he couldn't have. Why her out of everyone?

And feelings build up when Soleil goes to NorthFields Academy for a month and a half to complete the exchange program. What's worse is that those football games would be more often and both schools would be playing against eachother. The worst thing is that Elias and Soleil are assigned together for the program, meaning they have to spend more time together.

Soleil soon realises that what she feels for Elias isn't hate, its something more than that. But she can't do anything, can she? He is her brother's rival after all.

Synopsis "Hey, I want you to write a couple of essays for my project. How much is your pay?" I blinked twice to be sure that the almighty rude Shanelle is right in front of me asking for my help. "Hmm, but you don't look like you want to get it done" I smirked as I look up to see her scan the cafe with her beautiful blue eyes, just like her brother's. "Bitch don't try to feel important, I'm only doing you a favour here so cut to the chase and state your price, we both know you need the money desperately" Shanelle replied. What she said got to me but I wouldn't let her see that, because I truly need the money to support my sick dad. I just smiled and say "what's it about?" "I'll text you my address, come over to my place tonight and we can talk it over in my room, no one is allowed to know that you're helping me" Shanelle said quite bossy. I scoffed and say "Do you find me that intimidating?" "You wish" she said and walked away. Does that mean I get to see Romans, I mind screamed. "The answer is 'A,'" I say, keeping my voice light and kind. Carter snorts from beside me. "No, it's 'C.'" Bingo. I was hoping he'd say that. "The question clearly asks you to round to the nearest tenth. If I'm not mistaken, which I don't believe I am, answer 'C' has two decimal places." I smirk as his mouth twitches into a frown. We're still standing. "Very well, Miss. Jones," Mr. Neilson says, projecting another question. "I can't stand you," Carter mumbles in my ear. I turn my head towards him, pressing my lips against his ear. "Then sit the fuck down, Conners," I whisper. "I'm winning." ... Fairridge Prep is for the best of the best. Sadie Jones, stubborn and clever, is set on being the best. Returning from winter break feeling, more so than ever, that she has stolen her sister's dream, Sadie is determined to spend the rest of Junior year proving that she deserves everything she's worked towards. Carter Conners, notorious flirt (only when it comes to Sadie), will do anything it takes to not spend the rest of his life working at his parents' diner. In which I fall in love with my brother's best friend. ***** "Don't pretend like you don't feel anything." His voice is low, sending shivers down my spine. "What do you mean?" "You know damn well what I mean." "I don't know what you're talking about." I pretend to ignore him, flipping some pages in my book. "Come on. I have all these assignments waiting. Aren't you supposed to teach me tonight?" "It depends on what you want me to teach." He smirks, his voice sounding even more dangerous. ***** I thought that my brother was the most popular guy in school, but as soon as I step into my university life, I realize how wrong I was. Meet Vaughn Cooper, his best friend. The guy is the epitome of every girl's dream. Godlike handsome. The quarterback. He's got the looks, and he's got the brain. Come on, he's got the scholarship to one of the most prestigious universities in the country, while I have just barely passed the entrance examination after long years of struggle during high school. How could a guy who worked that hard and deserves nothing more but adoration be labeled as a bad boy? Yeah, the answer is simple. The moment we lock eyes, I realize something as I stare into those piercing, amber eyes. He's not every girl's dream. He's every girl's nightmare. In my case, MY nightmare. Calm down, heart.
